Anyone remember hot rod's restaurant? I went by the place several times but was too young at the time to actually go in it, I just heard stories about people hanging out with Hot rod and drinking it up. I tried to find some stuff online about it but couldn't find much, I just found out that the place was crammed with sports memorabilia and he was friends with Chubby Checker and he would perform there every once in a while.

Wasn't this the place on Highland Drive? I was too young to go in there I think, but I definitely remember it.

My Buddies and I ate there when I was in High School. We had traveled up to play in the Roundball Ruckus and went WAYYY out of our way to eat there. I remember that all of the food items were named after players. It wasn't a fancy place and the food kind of resembled what you would get at Denny's.

I think I ate the David Benoit Roast Beef Slam (French Dip Sandwich) because he was my favorite player at the time. . .

Problem with that one is that it rimmed out every time the bite really mattered.

And it beat up another sandwich at mid court during a dinner in Tel Aviv.

But a good sandwich nonetheless.

I remember driving by. Purple/neonish sign?
