The Dunk

At a minimum, he is a lot more fun to watch than Trey Burke. Has hops, and speed, runs the break, does not dribble dribble dribble for 23 seconds.

I agree that Cotton has been fun to watch, but it's still hard to compare him to Trey since most of Trey's time on the court was when the opponent was at full strength and trying to win games.

Agree with that, yet I am not sold on what TB has shown us. Cotton is clearly much faster and more athletic by light years. Those are great NBA attributes that TB will never have.

Not to be that guy, but Cotton is playing against backups in April. Lots of these teams don't care anymore. I hope he turns our awesome, but the people saying he's better than Burke should hold up a bit.

I agree they should hold up, but he did see time against Rondo and Lillard/McCollum. Not really backups.

Naw, you can be that guy if you want:-). No, that was not the Mav's A team. But you get 2 things with Bryce at all times. One, the belief that he has to prove himself every single time he sets foot on the court. This is the result of a lifetime of doubt and rejection. A lifetime of being told "next level? Naw, sorry, you're not good enough; try to be more realistic".
Every single step of the way. But you also get a will and determination second to none. Folks can ask themselves: does Cotton really look like a rookie out there? I don't think he does at all. He looks the part of a 4 year player with maturity beyond his years. Take the fact that he's been told he can't do it, combine it with a will that says "I will prove you wrong. I am better then you think I am". Add to that his skill set and althleticism, and the only thing that will truly surprise me is if he does not become an excellent point guard in this league. You're never getting his foot out of the door now. Maybe he's traded, but he is not leaving the NBA anytime soon. And the way he played last night. Put the Mav's A team in. There will not be a drop off in energy or production. Maybe Snyder designed that alley-oop to help shop him this summer. Now, there will be takers.....

It's code for, "I'm not usually a jerk, but when I am I'm the kind of jerk that..." for instance...
