Cars that you like

Test drove this. It was fun and zippy and surprisingly more roomy than I expected. Could even fit the 4 of us for short trips, even with my nearly 6'4" son riding shotgun. Thinking about buying one. Still looking at Skoda's though. They pack a ton of tech into a comfy and affordable package. Like this one:

I bet you don't buy it.

Right now we are talking to a guy about buying a Skoda Octavia he had on mobile.de that might prove to be a pretty good deal. I'm wanting zippy and fun that we can make work for us, wife is pushing for practical and comfy for everyone. But that's boring. Especially considering I will be driving alone for work the vast majority of the time.

My mom drives that car, but in silver.

I wanted to quote this again because it might be the funniest thing HottieK has ever said, intentional or not.

I really do love cars, and I hope to develop a hobby of resorting them some day.

With that said, I quite literally don't have the free time to sit and watch him do ****. I chose da school life, and it honestly zaps so much of my free time at this point in my life. I barely even have time to practice guitar.

It's one of those things I always wanna be able to learn though. I know how to change my oil & tires, but that's about it. Still, that's more than 99% of my friends in school.

Thanks to Chris_L, I now have a vague idea about how to change drum brakes. As for oil and lube, I NEVER do that **** on my own. Jiffylube FTW, IMO. Sure, I can do it like Howard says, but will I know what barings to grease, which gauges to check, which tanks to top off, etc? No. I sure as hell won't vacume the carpets or clean the glass either.

all i think when i see this car is some sissy man complaining about sand in his vagina while pullling up next to me at the intersection

Hahaha, these were almost my exact thoughts.

I was in hurricane last week on my way to Zion np, and saw a giant black ram truck, and the license plate said "entrata" on it. I thought it might be you, but it didn't look like you.

Thanks for dropping by that night, it was fun to hang out. I really enjoyed fishing with you too.

What does this even mean?

No ****. Speak 'Murican or GTFO.

BMWs are simply such a treat to drive though. My brother is a big fan of them, so I have driven his before. It's a testament to those cars that people who get those cars in their younger years end up driving them for the rest of their lives. I feel that way with Mercedes-Benz, even though I grew up being an Audi fan.

Tl;dr Skoda makes a superb car for the value, but I really would be amped to hear you getting a BMW. Ignore Dutch & the garbage stigma he's talking about-- half of Germany drives BMWs.

And that is why I am obsessed with diesels. Do a lot of canadians drive diesel passenger cars?

Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 3.0L diesel...I want.

They have different emission standards overseas though, not sure we can get the same diesels here that they have.

The wranglers are supposed to have the 3.0l diesel next year too, that would be so awesome. It is the same engine in the ram 1500 eco diesel, which got great reviews.

I'd say it's the popularities of the diesel sedans more so than the standards-- I'm quite certain a lot of countries in Europe are more strict with emissions than the USA would be. I could really be wrong though.

Probably the same as the States-- I rarely see them. Mostly just VWs sprinkled here there-- the RARE Mercedes BlueTec. That's about it.

Quite growingly common in trucks though, as well as some SUVs. Economy is booming here though, so ppl got money to blow and they dgaf about diesel vs gas that much
