Potential Draft Pick

Odds are heavily against. The number of DII guys who have been legit NBA players in the last 20 years is really short.

Big numbers in those games doesn't mean that much.

2nd rounder maybe. Another diamond in the rough perhaps.

Hate to put a damper on your fun but saying we should draft a guy after watching one game is premature.

Yes, but that is better than what most of us do in June, we all have suggestions on draft picks based on season stats and combine measurements.

Probably needs a couple years in the NBDL or Europe before considering the NBA. No way this guy gets drafted. But if he never even played HS ball, you'd have to think that he is still a ways from reaching his potential.

I was thinking 2nd round pick UDFA. He is leading the nation in D2 scoring. What impressed me was that he had range on his shot.

No but seemed as good or better than Elder Hayward. I've seen Ryan Thompson play in the DLeague and I think this kid's is better at least for one night.

There is so much more to the game than scoring. We know absolutely nothing about what else he brings to the court as a player, and scoring is the least-translatable statistic, especially when it concerns such a poor level of competition. Lester Hudson, anyone?

This guy could make it in the league, but his trajectory will be far more like Gary Neal's and Bruce Bowen's than Landry Fields' if he does, and either way, that means he has to figure out all of the little things (defense, passing, rebounding, hustle) first.

Do the Jazz even have a first round pick? Some say no, but according to this site, the only pick we're giving up this season is Memphis' pick that we sent to Minny. Don't we still have our own then?

Minnesota Timberwolves: Receives Memphis's 2011 first-round pick (top-14 protected in 2011, top-12 protected in 2012, top-10 protected in 2013, top-9 protected in 2014 and 2015, cash thereafter) via Utah via Kosta Koufos trade on 7/13/10.
