So as I am sure many of you know I follow world events closely and try to stay informed.
Recently I am seeing an increase in articles about arch foes putting aside differences in the face of a new enemy.
Could ISIS be the key to a lasting peace in the middle east? Everyone has united against them.
They are so worrisome in some many areas of that region we are seeign unthought of matchups and cooperation to fight them.
Such as:
Afghan gov and Taliban cooperating. Even so far as the Afghan gov. recruiting the Taliban to fight.
Isreal/Hamas. They are talking thru back channels and Israel has lessened the embargo. Hamas is in a deadly *** for tat with ISIS on the Gaza strip.
America/Iran basically have a defacto alliance in Iraq. American airpower supporting Iran backed Shia militias.
With the recent advancements of ISIS in Iraq, Syria, Gaza, Libya and Afghanistan (to name a few) they are obviously going to be around for a while.
Questions are these: Will they lead to a lasting peace among any of the specific parties? Why or why not?
