Welcome to Colton's 2015 Mock Draft Compilation, v. 2.0. 18 mock drafts used! Here are who the mock drafts are listing as the "best players". See below for details. It should give a pretty good idea of who will be available when the Jazz pick at 12, 42, and 55.

Karl Anthony Towns
Jahlil Okafor
D'Angelo Russell
Emmanuel Mudiay
Kristaps Porzingis
Justise Winslow
Willie Cawley-Stein
Mario Hezonja
Stanley Johnson
Frank Kaminsky
Devin Booker
Myles Turner
Trey Lyles
Cameron Payne
Kelly Oubre
Sam Dekker
Bobby Portis
Kevin Looney
Jerian Grant
Tyus Jones
Montrezl Harrell
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
R.J. Hunter
Justin Anderson
Delon Wright
Rashad Vaughn
Christian Wood
Terry Rozier
Chris McCullough
Robert Upshaw
Jordan Mickey
Jarell Martin
Rakeem Christmas
Cliff Alexander
George De Paula
Guillermo Hernangomez
Aleksander Vezenkov
J.P. Tokoto
Dakari Johnson
Norman Powell
Cedi Osman
Terran Petteway
Olivier Hanlan
Richaun Holmes
Michael Frazier
Michael Qualls
Alpha Kaba
Nikola Milutinov
Andrew Harrison
Mouhammedou Jaiteh
Joseph Young
Anthony Brown
Jonathan Holmes
Timothe Luwawu
Tyler Harvey
Marc Garcia
Vince Hunter
Alan Williams
Nedim Buza
Moussa Diagne

Misc observations:

1. 13 of the 18 mocks have Towns going #1, the rest have Okafor going #1.

2. Myles Turner is in the #12 slot. Other likely available players include Lyles, Payne, and Oubre, So one of those could be the most likely for the Jazz right now.

3. Stanley Johnson and Kaminsky are also popular choices for the Jazz in various mocks, 3 mocks each to be specific. But the consensus is that those two players likely won't be around when the Jazz pick at #12.

4. The highest rated player that any draft has going at #12 is Willie Cawley-Stein
(and they have the Jazz picking him). Seems very unlikely that he'd be there, though.

5. Booker and Payne win the wild card awards, with their projections being anywhere from 8 to 25 and 11 to 25, respectively.

6. There are only 21 players that ALL of the mocks have going in the first round. The remaining 9 picks of the first round seem pretty up for grabs.

Ranking details: I used the following mock drafts as "voters" for the best players. That is, I assumed they ranked the players in the order that they felt like the players deserved to be drafted. (This is an incorrect assumption, because some mock drafts account for perceived team need, but it should be close.) Then I used the "instant run-off voting" algorithm in a program I wrote to deduce who deserved to be ranked in the top spot, then in the second spot, then in the third spot, and so forth. See here for details on that algorithm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant-runoff_voting

The part where only 21 are locks for the first round surprises me, this draft seems like atleast 25 players should be -1st in every mock.

Of the ones forecast to be there at #12, I think I'm warming the most to Kelly Oubre.

Does anyone know if Mr. Petteway's older brother was one of the contestants on the TV show "The Amazing Race."

I'll be ecstatic with either Oubre or Turner. Both have tremendous upside. Unfortunately, both are on the rise and will likely be gone by the twelve pick.

Latest Yahoo Mock draft has us taking Frank the Tank, Andrew Harrison and Larry Nance Jr. of Wyoming.
