It's not just about how good someone is though, it's about how good they are relative to where they're picked (see OP). If Looney were to be picked at #25 then I might pick him cause I like him more than most and think he'll out perform that selection. But if someone picks him in the top 10, I probably wouldn't pick him as my homer pick.

Or like Dekker. Some people are now saying Detroit is going to take him at 8 if Hezonja is gone. I don't really want to pick Dekker at 8, but if he goes 16 to Atlanta, it might be a different story.

No it's not like GM's. GM's know if they pick the guy what team is he going to be on.

I'm just doing a pre-draft one. The official real pick will be post-draft.

Well yeah not EXACTLY like that, but what I mean is how you've gotta narrow it down and pick 1 guy.
