Can the Jazz bust out the 'big' lineup?

The small lineups are gaining popularity lately. In fact an NBA title was just won with one. Is there any chance a big lineup would work?

Exum
Hayward
Lyles
Favors
Gobert

Would the other team just be getting fast breaks all day? I think it'd be fun to watch for a few minutes a night.

That would probably depend on how well Lyles can handle the ball and defend NBA SF's.

I prefer
Exum
Hood
Hayward
Favors
Gobert
.
Still a huge lineup but more proven and I know Hood and Hayward can handle the ball.

That's not a big lineup, that's the starting lineup.

Whats the advantage of having a PF play SF?

Small ball works for a reason, because you need space, it's important.

Clog the paint on defense?

Hell if I know. There's gotta be some advantage if you can get three 6' 10'' and up dudes on the floor.

*this is dependent on Lyles getting a reliable jump shot.

If Lyles can shoot then it creates matchup problems. Not sure you could take advantage of those matchup though because Gobert does not spread the floor and Favors only does to a certain range.

I can nearly guarantee Quin will never play Lyles at SF unless injuries happen.
Didn't Snyder or Lindsay say he was more likely to play at C than SF? Or something like that. Or was that just a poster here putting words in his mouth.
.
I however would not guarantee that. I think a smart coach looks at using lineups that work and against some teams that lineup might work.

Yes and it's big. 6-6, 6-8, 6-9, 6-11 and 7-2 would have to be one of the biggest starting lineups in the league.
I'm talking more like a gimmick thing for 6 minutes a night doe. That lineup is only really unique because of a 6-6 PG. Im talking something as crazy as Draymond Green at center for a small lineup.

To be clear, I love your lineup and think it is our future starting lineup.

The league is about matchups. I don't want Lyles to play SF unless he becomes and efficient 3 point shooter and proves he is athletic enough to guard NBA SF's. I think he's more likely to be a guy that can play 5 in a small ball lineup.
