If you let your recognition of public problems get wagged by sentiments "revealed" in polls, then.......
I generally do not respond to you, but I'll make an exception here, because it is actually helpful. So thank you.
Perhaps "consider that an issue" is too strong a wordage. Perhaps "How high does that percentage have to get before we start looking at studies? Or even funding one ourselves"
Does that sound better, Mr. Naos?

I'm not saying I disagree with the principle points you're trying to make (at least on the surface). But you're acting like, in terms of evidence, you're laying down aces. You're not.
why not?
Don't push out.. this is at least the second time in this thread you have. First, instead of actually addressing a concern, you asked me why I always assume you don't look at the real world. I told you that nothing you've stated illustrates that you've even considered that there's a problem. 71% of Americans say there's a problem. In most states, usually but not exclusively those republican controlled, we see state university funding cut drastically. In the future, that will make costs greater for the students, increasing that 71%.
How high does that number have to get before you can consider that an issue?
Thinking out loud..
I don't get how far rightist and leftist ideologues like you and dalamaintnuthin think everyone else is stuck inside a box. In the past I've spent a lot of time on john bircher conspiracy websites as a hobby and it was a common calling card to break down any discussion. The ideologues telling everyone else they are the ones with a mental block. I'm pretty much the most level headed, open-minded person you'll find yet I have two far leftists (admitting to trolling as well) claiming I'm on some high horse or whatever because I don't agree with their propaganda.
Like I asked before, why are the least objective people like yourself, dalamaintnuthin, The Thriller, Dutchjazzer, etc. always thinking everyone else are the closed-minded ones. Why oh why can we not see it your way right?
I'm not "laying acres", I'm saying there's a great concern throughout the nation, and that my history seems to validate that concern. The same concern I've had since High School... and school was cheaper 14 years ago. 71% of the nation believes there's an issue, all signs point to that number going up, so perhaps we should look into it.. intensely. The opposition isn't even willing to consider that there's a problem.
Why don't I respond to you? Because right or wrong, in my experience, you've demonstrated that you'll fall on the first sword you take up. You've also demonstrated that no part of you considers any opposition you face as having a valid point at all. These two things almost always add up to redundant, circular discussions, devolving otherwise respectable people into trolling numbnuts. Myself not excluded.
We, meaning the nation(particularly our leaders) as a whole.

Please continue demonstrating my point.
What the **** are you talking about, Bruce?
We are looking into it. If we weren't, then some armchair policy wonk like yourself wouldn't know anything, since all you're doing is drafting off the research and conclusions that other people are doing.
If the issues you're passionate about aren't getting enough attention by our elected officials, then there are a few things you can do about it.
You can say whatever you want about me, but it's pretty clear that you don't read my posts with imagination, and that you extrapolate out to my intentions with even less accuracy than you read. Acres of errors.
Close-minded ideologues have a tendency of hypocritically charging others with the negative character traits that define them. You are the king of speaking in generalities, as is evidenced plenty of times in this thread.
However, I wouldn't go so far as claiming you "dismiss valid factual posts" since you generally do not know nearly as much as you think you do to realize how naive your dismissals are.
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts." --Bertrand Russell, describing Dalamaintnuthin.
See, this argument is very different than "there is no problem" or "suck it up" or "quit crying".
Pretty much every study out there is confirming education is increasingly unaffordable. Yet Mr. Franklin here is happy with "quit crying" and "What problem". Or even deflecting entirely, arbitrarily discrediting any thing that's out there.

Amusing when ideologues write in these definitive tones and then blame others of being closed-minded. Continue on.
I've been waiting for you to change my mind with your facts, but you have none.
are these the studies we're producing while we're NOT looking into it? Or is this independent research that you are carrying out with out any funding?
Why don't you check out google scholar, Mr Ph.D.
It's because I don't take radicals and propagandists seriously. You two should count yourselves lucky I even read your posts.
I have. And I personally know many people who work on this issue. Which is why I'm confused about this dearth you speak about.
And I'm also concerned about this "wealth of evidence" that you've laid on us. Acres of evidence.
And this is why I don't respond to you. Everything's laid out for you, there's an instructions sheet, and you attempt to connect a screws to f holes, b planks to q grommits, and n bolts to l fasteners, and because the ikea desk doesn't look right, it's Scandinavia's problem.
you're a ****ing retard, bro. Maybe you should stop foaming at the mouth with whatever social justice issue is cramping your style and take intellectual honestly a little more seriously.
