Trey Lyles Highlights from Last Night #3

That's a sweet stroke for a guy his size. Night and day smoother than a couple weeks ago.

So you feel that saying "he can't, he can't, he sucks, he can't, he's awful at this, he can't" is good analysis? Then he comes out and shows all the things this person/these people says he can't do, and not a word from these people? You may call it analyzing and I agree, but it's wrong analysis plain and simple. Where is the analysis of things he CAN do? I see none of that besides "I hope you're right". Again one sided bad analysis. And in all reality, I don't think you can get much of an analysis off of summer league games in the first place. People act like what a 19 year old has shown, in basically practice, is set in stone. I understand we have nothing else to go off of, but point still stands. Overreacting at this point is just that, overreacting.

You say these people know basketball but can't find any positives that came out of summer camp, when coaches and players alike are saying different? Again, I agree he has flaws and much to work on, but that's different than saying "he can't, he sucks". The other game a poster was on here basically crapping on every move he made. Then Lyles hits a 3, and drives hard to the basket for a nice layup, and he disappeared until Lyles turned the ball over, just to degrade him again. Can you tell me with an honest face that this person doesn't have a motive?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about people with concerns, I'm talking about the people that constantly bash the guy, and see no good in his game. I appreciate a good analysis, but again I don't find that as good analysis in the least. I see it as going too much off emotions. People hated the Hayward pick, now these same people own his jersey. As I've said that's fickle, I see it with all my sports teams, and how fans are so quick to **** on a player, before even giving them a chance.

I will bash whenever I want. And compliment whenever I want. Grow ups!

For some reason I see some of Rashard Lewis game and high release in him.

OK but isn't Lewis more of a 3 who played the 4 (under Van Gundy)?

Diaw & Odom I remembered as being more of a 4 who played the 3? i.e., Diaw was made to guard LeBron for example.

All I know is Trill Lyles will be the perfect offensive small ball 4 next to the perfect small ball 5 (Favors).

It's funny you say this because even though their bodies are nothing alike, when I watch the highlights of Lyles, I see a lot of Diaw in him. Maybe it's just the semi-slow motion way he moves. But I get this sort of wise deliberateness to what he does when I watch him that reeks of high basketball iq and team player and I love it.

I'm really hoping he buys in, works hard at his craft, and joins the gang at P3 the next few years.

I thought you said you don't know much about players past the year 2000?

So what was Trey Lyles complete game statistics in all the Jazz games he played in Vegas? In his 1st game at Vegas, he scored 10 pts and 20 pts in his last game. That's all I could remember.
