Good game babe.

Thanks for playing.

For a change, next time I'd like to set aside about two hours, a few days in advance, and do a game with a two minute time limit on moves, or a one minute limit. Say take a time out for five minutes every ten moves to draw the pic, and make sure we're seeing the same game. I know it'd be a challenge for me.

Tournament was fun this past weekend, team got swept, went 1-3 on board 2 myself. Will do my games over the next few days :)

Have only played one tournament before this, so came in ranked about 950 I think, not sure what my skill level is, but I feel it's a bit higher than that. Anywho, on to game #1, playing Black against an ~1800. Not expecting too much for this one.

1. e4, g6
2. d4, Bg7
3. Be3, d6
4. Nf3, a6
5. Bd3, e6 - not sure why, but decide to go with some sort of hedgehog, way too passive for an opponent of this level
6. c4, Ne7
7. Nc3, O-O
8. Qd2, Nd7
9. Bh6, f6
10. Bxg7, Kxg7
11. h4, h5
12. Nh2, Rh8
13. g4, Qf8
14. O-O-O, c5
15. d5, Nb6
16. f4, exd5
17. f5, dxc4
18. Bc2, Qd8
19. Qxd6, Qxd6
20. Rxd6, Nd7
21. hRd1, Ne5
22. g5, fxg5 -Dang... Bad bad move on my part, allowing the fork. He's been waiting to tear up my kingside all game and I just let it happen.
23. f6, Kf7
24. fxe7, Kxe7
25. hxg5, Be6 - Another rough play, could have got back in it with Nd3.
26. Rb6, aRb8
27. Nd5, Kd8 - And that's about it, thought I might be able to sneak my way out of it, should have just taken the knight.
28. Rxe6, Nc6
29. Rd6, Kc8
30. Rxg6, Re8
31. Rg7, Ne5
32. Nb6#

Anywho, thought I played alright for about the first 20 moves and then let it all kind of go to crap, was a bit nervous and probably not proactive enough throughout the game, played defensively. Didn't think he really played that great either though, he let some chances get by for sure.

Game #2, playing white against an ~1200. Played well enough to start out, I totally blew the middle/ending though, tried to get too fancy. Feel pretty bad about this one, only game of the weekend I really thought I should have played significantly better. Lots of missed opportunities capped off by a bonehead ending move.

1. Nf3, c5
2. c4, Nc6
3. g3, e5
4. Nc3, Nf6
5. d3, Be7
6. Bg2, d6
7. a3, Bg4
8. O-O, h6
9. Rb1, O-O
10. b4, cxb4
11. axb4, Rb8
12. b5, Na5
13. Bd2, b6
14. Ra1, Qd7
15. Ne4, Nxe4 - A pretty silly move, I was caught up in my queenside attack, trading Knights here was not a good idea.
16. dxe4, Bd8
17. Bxa5, bxa5
18. Qd3, Bh3
19. Bxh3, Qxh3 - Bad move for him, pulls the queen away from the center and gives me a free pawn.
20. Qxd6, Bf6
21. Qa6, Qd7 - Where I could really have taken control by playing simple and taking with the rook.
22. Qxa5, Rb7
23. fRd1, Qe7
24. aRb1, Rc8
25. dRc1, Qc5 - Should have moved the other rook I think, controlling that file was too important.
26. Qb4, Qc7
27. Rc2, Be7 - I think I was trying to stack my rooks here, seems too slow looking back.
28. Qc3, Qc5
29. Rc1, Bd8 - The e pawn was free as could be and I just missed it...
30. Qa1, Bb6 - Apparently I'm in to doing nothing this game...
31. Qa6, Qxf2 - Boom, we're even again ><. Simple block with e3 keeps me ahead even with all these missed chances.
32. Kh1, bRc7
33. Nxe5, Qd4
34. Nd3, Qxe4# - Saw it right after I made it, a fitting end to a crappily played game :(

So, I took the time to follow the game on my chessboard. I was thinking you were the whites for a while. Lot's of unusual stuff going down, at least in my experience. . . .

you have to challenge an advancing line of pawns on your Kingside. Can't make defense out of a wandering King, although that's exactly what I did in the game with Log. . . .

Looking at game 2, I guess Log should play you so he can make Siro come back to defend his crown.

To be, the play just looks loose. I think Siro is about 2400 and Log maybe 2000, me maybe 1800, if that's what 1600, 1200, and 900 look like.

I'm on the go and don't get much time to sit down, or I'd start a game a with you.
