His team has its issues. He's actually losing right now.

Every team has issues. His starting PG would have been my backup if I'd gone that route. And while I really like each of his individual players, I don't love his backcourt at all. Hardaway, Drexler and Wilkins would have been a sieve defensively and Nowitzki in the starting lineup doesn't help that at all. For all my offensive deficiencies, his defensive ones are way bigger having to face Jordan, IMO.

Yeah, I'll probably end up voting for your team because of defense, but I wanna think about it some more.

Defense seems to be the biggest differences between these teams.

Duncan is top-8 at the worst. We will have to agree to disagree because it's not a wide margin, while nobody will ever say LeBron is better than MJ, he is creeping up on him. Only thing holding LeBron back is his 2-4 Finals record against Jordan's 6-0.

Top 8 at worst vs. best of all time. You want to put LeBron in that conversation, okay. . . I get that.

Duncan isn't in it. I can see making a better case for Hakeem, Magic, Larry, LeBron, Kareem and Wilt.

My top 8 (No order)
MJ
Magic
Kareem
Hakeem
Bird
Kobe
Shaq
Wilt

Prolly depends on how you feel about Kobe but personally I would have Duncan 9 - 13....I think he got drafted a little high

Forgot about Shaq and Kobe. I'd put both of them after Wilt and before Duncan. I'd even consider Oscar Robertson before Duncan also.

Wow.. Such disrespect going on right now.

I don't know about that. Picking a top 10 is very subjective. While Duncan is awesome and a sure-fire Hall of Famer, my personal opinion is that he wouldn't have fared nearly as well if he'd played most of his career in the 80's or 90's, while I believe most of the guys on my list would thrive in today's game. That's what transcends them.

I loved 80's and 90's basketball. The best eras of the game in terms of dynasties, players and star power. Michael, Magic, Hakeem and Larry owned basketball like nobody but Shaq/Kobe and LeBron have since.

FWIT lebron is around 15 for me right me, most people have him in the top 10, not yet for me.

Considering he is only 30 years old and is still top-15 is remarkable.

At age 30, Jordan had 3 rings, went to 3 finals, and had 3 MVP's

At age 30, LeBron has 2 rings, has been to 6 finals, and has 4 MVP's.

Considering Jordan won three more championships and played some of his best ball post-30, it's not crazy to think LeBron could get to 10 finals total in his career.

Agreed.

If it wasn't for Duncan & Nowitzki ruining it for LeBron, he would have gotten 2 more rings and easily would have been in the same conversation as Jordan.

This is how I'm leaning as well. Ellis' wings of Payton, Jordan and Pippen have 26 all-NBA first team awards between them. OneLove's wings of Wilkins, Drexler and Hardaway have ZERO.

That's a monumental nod to Ellis who also has tremendous length behind them with Webber and Ewing.

Also, OneLove's bench sucks too.

To me Jordan's dominance is muted by the fact that Payton/Jordan/Pippen provide very little 3pt point shooting and the spacing is going to be extremely limited and very crowded in the middle as well.

It's not always about having big names in your team, it's about how they fit together as a team as well.

Drexler is a career 31.8% shooter from three and Wilkins 31.9%. Your shooting isn't insanely better. His defense is.

Mannnnn.. stfu

Did you vote for my team? No you didnt. What you just described as what should be a good team, is what my team was.

I sported 3 starters who shoot well over 40% from the 3. You were no where around talking about how great my spacing was. Nobody was. So you don't get to use it when talking about what is good basketball.

Except Wilkins has dominated Pippen whenever he plays...

And you're forgetting that Dirk is on my team... the best 3pt shooting PF ever.

Dominated so much so that the Hawks beat the Bulls in the playoffs how many times?

W-L records depends a lot on who you have on your team as well as coaching, etc. Too difficult to compare win/loss when comparing individual players IMO.

Yeah and your team's wings stink defensively. Get over it.

Ellis wins.

Next!

Seriously, what a joke this comment is.

Look at this matchup, and tell me how you voted against my team with that kind of thinking. AND, AND.... you had the nerve to use it against the greatest player of all time, and not against the team I was matched up against.

How about some intellectual honesty One Love??
