Ricky Rubio is still only 24... <insert mind blown gif>
24 years old of 24 total shots made in his career?

I've been stressing this for a while now. The year we went to the WCF with Deron the team won 3 more road games than we won last year. If you take into account the abysmal start with Kanter, I believe we are already a better road team than that WCF team. Utah is on the verge of a big-time breakout, so the bandwagoners should get a running start to jump on. Once again I'll make my prediction that Utah will have their best team this year since the days of John and Karl. #BestBelieve
It always drives me crazy how so many people (here on JazzFanz in particular) take pride in being the most skeptical, the most negative or the most cynical. IMO it is a much bigger deal to have the guts to go on record with a positive and optimistic prediction. Big props to you, Cappy, and ima gunna ride that bandwagon with you, 56 wins next season is my prediction!I've been stressing this for a while now. I'd take Philly off and put New Orleans #1 because the brow is that good. He took NO to the playoffs last year. I'd trade any three players of Gobert, Favors, Hayward, Burks, And Hood for the Brow.
I'd have to take off Gobert off this list......Exum at 6'6"defending PG's and 7'1" Gobert at Center is going to have Utah in serious contention year after year purely on their defensive talent ,just wait til their offensive talent matures.
For example Gobert, Favors and Hood for the Brow? No way man
In the prediction thread I said 62 victories that I think is tied for the most wins Stockton and Malone got.It always drives me crazy how so many people (here on JazzFanz in particular) take pride in being the most skeptical, the most negative or the most cynical. Yup.I'd trade Gobert for the Brow in a heartbeat. Gobert is great defensively but will probably never do more than Tyson Chandler offensively. Brow is the best of both worlds.
Wrong. S/M got 64 wins in 1996-97In the prediction thread I said 62 victories that I think is tied for the most wins Stockton and Malone got.
You said you would trade Gobert plus two other starters. That's an entirely different thing that what you're saying now. I think it would be insane to gut our team for that one guy.I'd trade Gobert for the Brow in a heartbeat. Gobert is great defensively but will probably never do more than Tyson Chandler offensively. That's a tough call for sure. Utah FINALLY has a team without any major holes (we think) - and a pretty decent bench. Hypothetically (because NO only trades Davis in a fantasy league), Utah could afford to offer Gobert, Hayward and picks. I think the starter the Jazz could LEAST afford to give up is Exum. Look how long it took to get a PG after trading Deron. Face it, if Exum doesn't develop, the Jazz are in world of hurt: Neto, Cotton and Burke aren't going to be starters on a contender. And the Jazz have a horrible track record when it comes to free agent PG's.You said you would trade Gobert plus two other starters. That's an entirely different thing that what you're saying now. I'd trade Favors, Gobert, Hood, Burke, Burks and Lyles for the Brow.
I'd be left wit Exum, Hayward, Ingles, Booker and Brow. And I'd probably win more games that NO.
You are really confident in exum's superstardomAbsolutely I would. Pick any three. Goblet, Favors, Hood for Brow. I have Exum, Hayward, Brow. My team is better.
As long as I could keep Exum (who wasn't available) and Hayward or Favors, I'll trade everyone else for Brow.
You give me Exum, Brow and Hayward/Favors and 12 D-leaguers and I'll win a title within 3 years.
Superstars win titles (look at Cleveland). If you can get a superstar, you trade Favors, Gobert and Hood for a superstar.

Dude you either severely overestimate Brow or severely underestimate our players. New Orleans would for sure win more games than us if we gave them those players.
Even Gobert, Favors, and Hood is a ripoff for us.
1) Hood can already create offense on his own for us. Towards the end of the season it was Hood, Hayward, and Burke that created the bulk of our offense. And Hood did it most effectively towards the end since the defenses started to figure out Hayward.
2) Favors is our most complete player. Also, his shot has been getting better every year. He is probably the Jazz player that gets double teamed the most. Once he figures out how to be effective against double teams, our team will be very, very good.
3) Gobert is already one of the best defensive bigs in the league. He will also be in DPOY contention this upcoming season. With Exum getting better at offense, Gobert should also be able to produce more on offense without having improved at all (but he probably has).
If you get rid of Hood, Davis can pick up the slack. If you also get rid of Gobert, Davis can maybe make up for most of that defense. But if you also get rid of Favors on top of losing those two, we'd effectively be down a complete player.
We are also a small market team, which means we won't be able to attract any big names. Meaning we have to get our players through draft. But if we have Davis we won't be getting high draft picks. So we are left with attracting mediocre names. Hence, our chances of getting a title become slim to none. If we keep all of our core players we have a much higher chance since they are all pretty good already and have been consistently improving every season.
Davis is just a hair below LeBron in the current pecking order. green isn't overestimating anything.
