Lol. Postertag is very underrated. He was one of the best rim protectors the Jazz ever had.

That's not saying much either. Outside of Eaton, Gobert, and Okur the Jazz didn't really have many great centers at all. Ask anyone in the draft.

So u must think Eaton is a horrible waste his offense wasn't any better. I don't need Tag for offense I do however need his defense. It was very invaluable to the Jazz through the years.

Do not compare Eaton to Ostertag's sorry ***.

I can get that. For me, as much as I love Karl Malone, it's hard to reconcile the fact that I have 4 of WC's starters as rated better than their counterparts and a slight edge to his bench.

Pistol Pete >>>> Rickey Green
Darrell Griffith >> Jeff Malone
Donyell Marshall >>> Richard Jefferson
Truck Robinson <<<<< Karl Malone
Antoine Carr > Greg Ostertag

and while its very, very close. . . I like WC's bench just a little bit better.

Even if you said Ostertag is better than Carr I still win 3-2 very easily, no other way you can argue.

Eaton was so much more of a dominant defender than Ostertag. And you did compare them because you said I wouldn't like Eaton.

I should win this based on the fact that I should really be playing Ellis right now.

The young and the restless. lol. Just pointing out that you are completely dismissing the fact that Tag was a very good big defender. Doesn't mean I was trying to compare the two just making a point chill out son.

Yeah, but I don't see Ostertag as better than Carr. I'd take the "Big Dawg" in a small-ball role like Draymond Green every time over "Tag".

4-1. I'm sure that not everyone agrees, but that's what makes things like these fun.

I get it, just saying the dude was a liability on offense. No way he would play in today's modern NBA. He's a career 56.9% from the line. Dwight Howard is a career 57.3% and constantly gets fouled. Hack-a-Tag, horrible offensive player. 7'2 player and shot 47% from two, lolololol.

All I know is I put pieces around the mailman that work. Jefferson gives me a guy that gives Malone room to opperate in the post. Ostertag provides relief on defense and a second rebounder. Green will run the offense to perfection getting easy offense for Malone and Jeff provides relief on offense so Malone doesn't have the full focus on him. Jeff Malone was a machine from 15-20 feet. I'd say English was the only one who was for sure better. Also, no one on WC's teem could carry a team to any meaningful games. Griffith is nice but he was never the focal point of an offense.

These two posts go very well together.

Ellis. Would u like to take over my team:)

No. I'm good with how our matchup played out. We tied in the voting and the mods gave you the nod 2-1.

I actually think your team matches up better against my team than WC's. Maravich is a better PG option than Hornacek would have been, and Jeff Malone and Richard Jefferson did have better stats than Burks and Carroll (who I liked as better athletes). WC has numbers that are significantly better than my team's, but I have the better athletes (same argument I had against your team and better numbers.)

I'd probably love your team if you had gone with anyone other than Jefferson and Ostertag to round out your starting lineup. Benches matter very little in these things. The starters are what I base my vote on in each.

Ostertag sucked horribly on offense and was somewhat decent on defense. His defense is over-rated imo.
Im biased though i guess cause ostertag is one of my most despised jazz players of all time. I loathed him

I have to admit that those Truck Robinson numbers are pretty phenomenal. If i had any idea who the hell he was then maybe i would have voted for WC

Osterag is one of my favorite Jazz players of all time. I just loved him when I was a kid. IDK why.

And aren't you using "best season".

Ostertag's best season he averaged 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 24 mpg.

He shot 52% from the field and 67% from the FT line. He was a pretty good center that year.

How many times the Jazz got to the finals without Ostertag: 0

How many times the Jazz got to the finals with Ostertag: 2
