He and Marcus Camby are the only players in NBA history to post a season with a block rate of at least 7 percent and a rebound rate of at least 20 percent.
Not yet announced but likely Sept. 28th.

I don't need all those damn advanced metrics. The eye test says it all: he shuts down opponents at the rim and intimidates guards on switches. Just engrave his name on the DPOY trophy for the next 10 years.
Obviously it was hyperbole. I don't expect him to win DPOY for 10 years in a row. This is Utah; he may not even win it ever. But I do think, unlike Favors and even Hayward, he's getting a lot of attention and will be the most recognizable Jazz player around the league. He makes highlight plays - and that garners attention, as does his catchy nickname. In one year, ask fans of the other 29 teams to name a player from the Jazz and I would bet 70% of them say Gobert or "The Stifle Tower" before Hayward or anyone else.I would be very ****ing careful with this kind of tongue-in-cheek type comment. Yeah, chances are dude will probably be pretty ****ing successful but if I know Jazz fans, if Gobert shows even a glimpse of regression, they will turn on him like folks turned on Hayward.
