With ****.

I kid. But am still for smaller gment.

smaller government is better for business-owners, entrepreneurs, and investors like you-- a man with morals, with care for his employees, and a devotion to caring for many people outside of his family and friends.

Unfortunately, you are in the minority. I really think that's true, Peeks. For every owner like you that has theiir operations streamline and improved with less government, you have ****ing DuPont and Enbridge giving people cancer by the thousands. Your devotion is to God-- others' devotions are to money and power.

Explain. You mean the dirty corporation that bought off the dirty politicians? I don't trust any of em.

read the article. then, tell me how smaller government would have helped those people.

Bruh, you're missing my point. It doesn't matter what we have, people suck. There's always going to be corruption, that's what I'm saying. Increasing governmental power isn't gonna fix it, but neither will decreasing it.

Dupont bought off officials, smeared scientists, falsified documents, and engaged in a plethora of unethical behavior in order not to be held liable for their actions. Not every criticism of a business is communist blasphemy. People have every right to voice their anger.

Then make it about THAT without the political undertones and agendas with glaring philosophical holes in them. This thread has contained many open attacks at entrepreneurs who are putting in the work that benefits us all. It's dumb and meaningless with that.

FWIW and I doubt it matters but whatever.... I avoid investing in stocks like this out of a matter of principle. I don't believe companies that act in this manner are going to survive long term. Dupont, Monsanto, and Alcoa have been bad *** purchases at times over the last ten years. I don't buy them because investing with criminals is stupid. You can check the old stock thread for both Monsanto and Alcoa if you need some reference. I never put a call on Dupont.

Smaller government also caters to the wants and needs of the local populace. Two sides to every coin, Dala.

I think an expansion of liability law that made it expedient for individuals to get damages from corporations for harm caused by their industrial endeavors, and a stop to allowing the EPA to grant corporations specific amounts of damage they are allowed to do without any legal recourse would be a fine start.

We have teflon pans and always have and recently my wife bought some stainless steel ones. I always do the dishes (My wife cooks) and after she made a couple meals with the stainless steel pans and I attempted to wash them, I told her to never use the stainless steel ones again and that we should get rid of them.

Teflon rules! Stainless steel sucks!

I'd rather have corruption that means I only get 80 cents for my dollar, as opposed to letting companies contaminate my farmland, and groundwater. To treat all corruption as its one and the same, or to treat an increase in government regulation as its all one and the same-- is, frankly, stupid.

If that's really the point you're trying to make, it does absolutely nothing to help those who have suffered in the article. Nothing.

Sure-- but I struggle to see how one could read that entire article (and I feel like very few, if any actually have), and walk away with the conclusion that "yup! smaller government would help!". Baffling.

Oh man--not even gonna get started on this. Lord knows I only have so many hours in a day.

EDIT: Just went through the thread. There was nothing political for the first two pageless-- only well-placed rage with the unethical conduct of a company. You were the first to bring in this "slamming anti-capitalist agenda" nonsense (which still baffles me) and then Hantlers used the diet recommendation example of why we should strive for smaller government. Kudos to you both.

Only problem is that it rusts so easily. I personally prefer enamelled cast-iron. Best of both worlds. If you have cash-flow, Le Creuset makes some pimp enamelled cast-iron cookware.

The problem is the public doesn't understand the full cost of the pollution, through a combination of choosing to be unaware and the information not being readily available. If people had a better/clearer picture of the long-term cost, a larger percentage would spend more for better alternatives.

.

My post was about Teflon dishes being easier to wash.
Did the article dispute that?

What were you cooking?
I don't remember everything we choked with them, but I remember hash browns being a bitch to get off

obvs man. I'm just saying that if you knew what it was made of, you'd think twice about cooking with it.

edit: Also, if you use more oil, you generally get less sticking, and a much easier clean.

Maybe I will try the more oil thing. The stainless pans look really fancy and cool and are good quality pans, I just hate cleaning the ****ers
