Any boxing fans here?

There have been some pretty fantastic bouts as of late. Most recently Mares vs Cruz.
 
When is the Triple G match? That is pretty much the only one I'm looking forward to. I don't know much about boxing though, but Triple G seems like a beast.
 
Huge boxing fan and follow it closely. It's been crazy so far this year. I can't hate on the PBC. Mares vs Cruz was a war and the under-card was legit too.

-Adonis Stevenson vs. Tommy Karpency in 10 days. I want to see Stevenson or Beterbeiv vs Kovalev really bad!!

-Another Deontay Wilder beatdown of an inferior opponent at the end of the month.

-Guillermo Rigondeaux is supposed to fight in Nov!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-Golovkin fights 10/17 at MSG vs A Canadian fighter, with little to no chance at winning - David Lemieux

-Terrence Crawford Vs Dierry Jean Oct 24th should be great. Crawford is a beast.

-Matthysse fights Oct. 3rd

- I'll watch Mayweather-Berto, just wanna see some of these other matches more.
 
Boxing was the first sport was ever exposed to. My dad was obsessed with it. He has tons of videos of fights on VHS that he recorded when he was younger, that he'd re-watch as I grew up (particularly Hearns, Marvelous, and Sugar Ray). I caught late-career Tyson, but my favourite was the Gatti-Ward trilogy. I watched all three fights, but I actually haven't even seen the movie that was made about it. Always rooted for Ward, despite being Canadian (not sure why-- he just seemed so unorthodox, and full of heart). Also loved Oscar De La Hoya.

I still get very into boxing if there's a match, but the Mayweather saga (and the many examples of boxing corruption) have taken my interest right out of it.

The difference between 90s boxing and nowadays boxing is way more drastic than 90s basketball vs nowadays basketball. At least IMO.

**** yeah, man! A fellow fan! What say you regarding Felix Verdejo. The kid is an absolute joy to watch. A throwback if there ever was one. Triple G's upcoming bout should be a good one though it is like throwing a lamb to the wolf.

I will say this, boxing, like music is not a lazy mans sport. If you know who to watch, you will not have a bad time watching.

Verdejo has some effortless power. He looks like a smaller Tito Trinidad. Should be interesting to follow. Errol "The Truth" Spence Jr. looks like a champion level prospect too, he's fighting on that same PBC card next Friday co-featuring the Adonis Stephenson fight.

This war remains one of the best non-title fights I've ever seen. Obviously the Judges did a bit of a job..... Augustus took the fight with 2 weeks notice.

Man, dude looks like he's got some great inside/ short thrown strength for real. Most of those KO's in that video were of the short throw variety. I like it!

Yeah he's a beast and its a joke he's not ranked in the top-10 welterweights. He's been calling out top guys in the division for fights and hasn't been getting replies. I've read he wont even be able to get a title shot in 2016.

Hopefully he can get a top welterweight to fight him for a Mayweather under-card to get more of a following. He's 25 though, so many think he's the future of the Welterweight division. He'd mop Pacquiao across the ring right now.

The #2 ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the world "Chocolatito"(43-0-0 (37 KOs)). One the greatest fighters nobody knows, he's a brilliant technician and one of the best ever at 112 lbs, he's huge at that weight and mastered the art of footwork long ago.. He does infact fight a bit like Mayweather.

I do think if he fought Guillermo Rigondeaux who's a natural 118 at some catch weight, that Rigondeaux would probably whoop him. I'd have Rigondeaux at #2 P4P.
