You have a good dad.
For many others reasons, yes. He said he's been let down year after year by the Jazz so to keep his heart from breaking he refuses to buy into the hype..
You have a good dad.
I get all that really. What bugs me is when people say out of one side of their mouth how good the team and out the other how they might struggle because of how good the west is. If the team isn't there yet they aren't there yet. They can't be a good team now and fail to make the playoffs just because of how good the west is. If they really are a good team then it doesn't matter how good the west is. That's what bugs me. It's not about my unrealistic expectations, it's about people blaming lack of success on the conference and not the team.Three years away three years ago was a dream. Building the way the Jazz are takes longer than that. 5-6 years minimum to get the pieces in place and that is after they traded Deron and started all over again. 2-3 more years should have always been the time frame to become real contenders and not the pretenders they were with Deron, Boozer and Memo.
I think you have to also consider that the jazz are still very young with core players just getting to their primes and a couple core players not there yet, and have a 2nd year head coach.
Memphis has gasol, conley, and randolph
Clipps have Blake and cp3
Thunder have ibaka, durant, and westbrook
Spurs have popovich, duncan, parker, ginobli, aldridge
Houston... Harden and howard.
If the jazz miss the playoffs it doesn't necessarily mean they are not good. It might just mean that they are young and not quite up to the level of some of these teams with star veterans that have been around longer.
The cake is in the oven and baking though. Timer just has not went off yet.
We are not all that far into the rebuild

I say being a top ten team in the league is good.
The jazz could be a top ten team in the league and miss the playoffs due to how good the west is and how bad the east is.
Missing the playoffs doesn't mean we are not good.
You do realise in the off-season Miller stepped down. Run by a board now and they're making the right moves. I find your lack of faith disturbing.
massive stretch. The East isn't THAAAAT bad.
Washington will be good. Cleveland will be good. Atlanta will be good. etc
The worst team in the west playoffs might end up being better than every team in east other than the top one or two teams.massive stretch. The East isn't THAAAAT bad.

The two conferences are very lopsided
