What's new

donate some random facts: fighting the offseason.

1) I do get examined. In the pelvic region. By your mom.. Every. Single. Night.

it's well-established that the people who say this kind of ish hardly ever get "examined." Maybe never. Very self-conscious and sad people, usually.

"Fighting the Offseason" didn't seem like an invitation to argue.

Maybe that is just the plague of our day...the loss of civil interaction. Sigh.

Here is another happy topic...suicide. Well, running suicide drills as explained by coach Quin Snyder. I really like Quin.

Here's another interesting random fact: If you have NAOS and Hack's posts blocked this thread reads very quickly, and it is full of interesting facts.

The tallest player I'm aware of that will be auto-eligible (Born in 94') in this years draft is Bienvenue Letuni, from the Congo. He was 7'4" at 14 years old. They say he can dunk flat-footed. I suspect he's not much of a player, cool pictures though.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVhgs9-BYZc - I knew someone 7'5" that could shoot better than this(when I was shooting around with him at least)

The tallest player to ever play basketball professionally is probably this guy. Suleiman Ali Nashnush of Lybia, who's a legitimate 8-footer (8'0.4"), which there's a short list of documented cases of... thing is he was closer to 7'6" when he played.

That photo is frightening in so many ways. It looks like it could be the poster for Rob Zombie's next film.

If a new poster signed up for Jazzfanz right now and averaged 1 post per minute for 24 hours/day, it would take him nearly 38 days to equal Dr. Jones' total.

You really won't see too many photo's quite like that one.. Thats on a movie set btw, Federico Fellini's film Satyricon. Fellini's in his lap.

Nashnush held the title of Worlds tallest man (for only around a year) when he died in 1991, at nearly 50 years old. Gabriel Monjane (8'0¾" - pictured below) died in 1990

According to the site thetallestman.com there's only been 16 verified cases of people over 8' (one woman, 8'1.75", Zeng Jinlian, who died at 17).

Sun Ming-Ming( 7'8¾") of Rush Hour 3 fame, Is probably the player closest to 8-feet when he was actually playing basketball, interestingly enough he was only 6'7" when he first started playing ball at 15.
