word. I'm glad you're feeling that while you're working out there. ****, just that one thing really rocks my opinion of you. Cool, braugh. It's amazing as **** out there. I grew up with camping and hunting enthusiasts who took me out through the Colorado Plateau all the time. We had a condo in STG where we'd stay between camping trips.

My favorite thing here is driving way out through the Arizona Strip, going more than 50 miles without roads, until reaching an area at the Grand Canyon that is virtually virgin territory to exploration. Tons of virgin archaeological ruins, deer and rabbits literally allow you to walk within about 50' of them, and we find something very cool each time out.

SO you can place me NAOS, I am the next city (not town) up I-15. 50 miles and about 30 miles into that trip you go up "black ridge" and as you come out the landscape starts to change to less red and more green. It's kinda cool. That also seems to be th weather break in the winter. Snows till black ridge then that breaks it down to rain for some reason. usually.

This is possibly the most moronic string of posts you've ever made. It comes across as you thinking everybody doesn't know 20 plus RE agents and is clueless. Stoked, ignore Dr. Jones and stick with The Oracle. Trust me, you'll save thousands. Unless they see you coming from miles away.

I later defended your statements, but I felt it was necessary to warn folks.

Not a chance in hell you want to go toe to toe with me on what I have done for more than 20 years and am brilliant at it.

I've taken three trips recently through these parts, but I haven't yet been out through Dammeron Valley, up the 18, and then west into Nevada. Going to do that on my next trip.

I've been studying the geology of the Basin & Range since I left academia. Totally rad stuff.

I spent last weekend @ Topaz Mountain. It's crazy. You walk through a wash and it is littered with crystals. It was really cool.

DUDE! I ****ing love it out there. In June I hiked to the top of Swasey Peak. I really took my time getting from there over to Wheeler Peak... crazy beautiful and so much space out there. It's some of the most inspiring nature I've ever felt.

When I get back to more financial security I'm totally gunna hit you up on pointers to rehab my property. It looks a lot like that area. My long term gameplan is:

1)put up a fence to keep the sheepherders off of it.
2)Replant Utah Junipers that ranchers have removed over the years. (maybe Bristlecone pine too)
3)Replant Great Basin Wild Rye the sheep have decimated.
4)Mycelium rehab. <that's where I will need the most help. I figure there has got to be a way to either encourage it or culture and transplant.

I would love to eventually restore my chunk to it's full potential. Though it's probably just another one of my hair brained pipe dreams.

Woah, dude, where do you live??

I wish I knew the first thing about restoring that type of land. If I could secure reliable (and good) work in that part of the world (like, maybe even virtual office stuff), then it'd be hard not to make that happen. Your ideas sound like good ones. I wish I heard more people talk about planting Junipers, Bristlecone, and native grasses. Good luck with the cheat grass.
