Seriously, if you are unable to tell the difference between something that is excessively sexual in nature, and something that is not then buy yourself a private forum, or join one of the others that are going and post your stuff there.

What doesn't make sense is a 2 year old thread getting closed down, when nothing has changed. That seems weird, that just the other day you decided it broke the rules, when for the last two years it hadn't. Good thing we have consistent rules though.

How many months was that thread going? How many "Likes" and pos reps were dished out by mods during those months?

Forgive the humble souls who have a hard time figuring out what is/isn't acceptable at times.

No clue. I have maybe reported one or two things in my entire time here. I generally ignore the crap I think is stupid and/or offensive.

Now that I am a mod, as has been pointed out many many times in the last 2 days by posters, it's now my job. I need to moderate to ensure the rules are being followed.

I'm sure at some point of my moderating career I will decide part of my job to start reporting stuff. As of right now it's just not a huge priority of mine.


Also, just because some threads were rarely perused my mods, or even read and liked by other mods does not mean it is not in violation of the rules. If a poster decides to report the entire thread, or specific posts in the thread, then it is our obligation to take action. I just got here, but it sounds like there have been items through the course of time that are reported from that thread. It is reasonable to me that if a thread is a constant pain point with regular issues, that it might be best to take the tree out at the base rather than trimming off the leaves one at a time.

at least he had me to trigger his repressed pride and righteous anger every now and then. Phew, it felt good to let it out. All built up. But after a while, that wasn't enough. He had to go up a level, and get a stiffer shot of justice. Oh yeah! Boardwide!

Ok. You can't/wont answer my questions, and I'm the dense one. Btw, nobody told me not to be snarky, not sure where you got that from.

We still haven't gotten one good answer on how a 2 year old thread full of the same stuff as always broke the rules now, but not two years ago. Seems very inconsistent to me. Shocking that could happen with such thorough and obvious rules.
