Rate the Song Above You

I'll label the song above me as cute, yet I can't give it any more than a 3/10 artistically speaking. Here's my 2 cents:

Jason Isbell - How to Forget
9/10 - like it a lot, sort of melancholy, but uptempo

ok, here's another sort of goofy song, for some reason the subject of John and Lorena Bobbitt came up at bowling this afternoon, and it reminded me of this song. enjoy!

How about this guy though, what can't he do? He can sing, he can dance, he's pretty talented.

6/10 ... love the effort but just not really my style...

LOL .. I heard this really cool song on Spotify the other day and didn't see what the name of the song was. I spent the last 30 min. trying to find out what that song was. Then just now I clicked on Young Blood's song and turned out the song is Ryan Adam's "All You Had to do was Stay".

Thanks YB!!!

This is the song I was referring to...

Not really a Ryan Adams fan (it too close to that hack, Bryan Adams. Seriously, that's my problem.) but this was good. 7/10

If you like him, maybe you'll like this (I'm kind of in a maudlin mood, and this song reflects it, particularly this performance):

Good voice, I'll give it a 6/10

Some good underground garage punk right there.

Man, I was kind of digging it until the cowbell. They definitely studied their Stooges, tho. 7/10.

Here's a classic Elvis Costello tune with a bit of an update.

ugh, sorry OL, not my cup of tea at all, way too slow and maudlin - plus I just generally get annoyed at any song that takes two minutes to get going - and the constant background conversation that was throughout the first 2-3 minutes was also annoying

2/10 (she does have a very powerful voice)

here's a new one I like, has an updated classic rock sound:
The Strypes - Scumbag City

I don't fault anybody for having a good time, cranking up the bright major chords, and taking solos. That's all good. But this isn't shooting for a new feeling; it's a recycled sort of sensation you can get a better/smarter dose of if you listen to Television ([url[/MEDIAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ojv08YmDedI). Funny video. Pretty mediocre production and overall sound quality. Not pissed I gave it my attention, but wouldn't go back for more.

5/10

Here's some of my favorite ish in the past decade. Colin Stetson does circular breathing into his sax for an amazing continuous sound. He's joined on this recent record by his long-time partner Sarah Neufeld. Violinist; able to meet Colin on the orgiastic/athletic terrain that he's more or less perfected at this point. This track is Steve Reich-esq. It sounds like their relationship, to me.

Song is Everybody Loves the Sunshine - Takuya Kuroda (a Roy Ayers cover)

VinylOne would appreciate. It's on YouTube, just not "mobile YouTube".
