JAZZ NOTES: Utah waived power forward Grant Jerrett on Thursday, bringing its roster down to 17 players. The 6-foot-10 Jerrett was acquired by the Jazz in the February trade that sent Enes Kanter to Oklahoma City. The second-year player had shoulder surgery after tearing his labrum in the team’s first summer league game in July. Utah will be forced to pay Jerrett $1 million that was guaranteed in his contract.
