It's not that simple. You need the right pieces. Gobert is what makes us who we are. Especially since it replaced Kanter. Im not defending Corbin, but his team had Al Jefferson. It takes the right pieces to do what you want to. Quin is smart, but he's also lucky to have Gobert.

I agree with Hack. Quin is working to get the most out of the players he has, and with Gobert, you have a great defensive piece to build around.
Is it luck or preparation to have the right people. Jazz traded to get him.

I'm not going to give them too much credit on that. They were prepared to not pick him. They got lucky that someone let them back in the draft AND Gobert slipped. It was foolish to trade up for Trey Burke and basically burn your two first rounders on him.
I am giving them big credit for that. They made something happen and got Gobert. It is true that even they didn't expect this level of play.
But we all complain when they don't make moves well this time they did. Kudos to them.

Hardly luck. You could see the difference in the Jazz at the beginning of last season, even though they weren't very good. Quin is molding this team.
