Melo is a historically great scorer. I doubt Jabari will even sniff prime Carmelo level of play.
 
Tearing your ACL at Jabaris age has 0 effect physically on the long term athletic ability. Surgery and rehab will take care of it.
 
Tough decision Jabari has #1 option potential on offense, but 255-260 lb PFs with a 6'11" wingspans tend to be defensive liabilities. I look forward to watching him play this year.

Statistically the vast majority (95%+) of athletes in his age range come back from ACL injury more athletic. Measured by their speed, lateral movement and jumping ability. Unless you have some ****ty surgeon and a terrible strength staff that has 0 clue what they are doing you will come back more athletic this day and age.

I have yet to work with an athlete that 1 year post ACL surgery was not a better athlete.
 
Jabari is a special player. If he can stay healthy he will be a consistent all-star. Hood is a really good player, that was overlooked in the draft.
He won't sniff an all-star game though except this year ROOK/SOPH exibition.
 
Hood is a future allstar, he's already scoring at will. He can pass, he can shoot, he has great court vision and basketball IQ.

Parker we don't know yet, we have to let him come back from injury first.

I agree that Hood could turn into something really special. I'm struggling to think of a player that looks so poised on the court.
 
Hood is going to blow up. Only reason he won't be a serious candidate for MIP is that he is a soph.
