The Jazz are trading D-Will to New Jersey!?

....Who wants to play in SLC? LeBron set the trend now.

what LeBron set the trend on is the feeling among some diehard fans around the league that if you're not willing to sign a lifetime contract to work for peanuts and donate half of that to charity, you're two-faced and a liar

Maybe the idea of a player option should just be eliminated in the next CBA altogether. And I guess to be fair, the team option should be eliminated as well. You sign a contact for a period of time, period.

Well, the guy accomplished absolutely nothing in NCAA and was a sub-par player there. He then went to NBA's worst team and accomplished absolutely nothing there (Kris Humphries is starting over him in NJ). That pretty much sums it up.

What was Kevin Garnett like his first 2 years in the league?

good post, but I think it is probably falling on deaf ears. Clearly Borat was a Dwill fan rather than a Jazz fan.

You are being rather obtuse. We lost a superstar for very little in return. This was half the package Nets offered for Anthony, who if better than Deron, then not by much, and whom Denver had a last chance to trade this Thursday. We have a whole year to work on this - and this is IF he refuses to sign extension, which he might. It is just not a smart move. And I am not a DWill fan at all. It's just that when we trade DWill, I want us to get someone better, not 5 times worse. Not someone, who was nearly traded to Dallas for expiring contract if we did not give them Deron instead.

10 and 6; 17 and 8. Not too bad, but even if it was bad, is your point that anyone who sucks hist first year will be a star? Because most people won't. Favors wasn't even a star in NCAA.

Dude was freshman of the year in the ACC. He had to play next to a very similar player who had seniority. You're talking out your ***.

Ryen Russillo chat today:

Did the Jazz do any damage by Deron finding out about the trade on Sportcenter while he was in the Jazz gym?

Ryen Russillo

You would hope things get handled a little bit better, but sometimes you can't prevent sources leaking information and I think it speaks to something I keep hearing, that the Jazz were pretty unhappy with Deron and maybe didn't care about his feelings anymore.

What do you know about DWill almost going to the Kings? What was the deal? Why did it fall through?

Ryen Russillo

Heard after the trade Utah was really upset with Deron Williams. Don't know if it's spin or the truth. Feeling was Utah was happy sending him to a bad franchise like New Jersey. Houston was offering their normal collection of garbage, and Sacramento had a chance with a certain package. But ultimately, Utah wanted to put him in the Eastern Conference.

Reading the Net's board a few things jump out about Favors.

Good defender.
He can recound now.
He finishes strong.
Is a good person, hard worker, coachable

Reguardless if he is a star or not I'm excited to have a player like this on our team.
I think he will complement our current bigs well.

This season is a wash, play Favors!!
