What's new

Any theories for bad Jazz performances with plenty of rest?

you're going to have to clarify the ridiculous way you're slanting this argument. So, his mechanics are unreal during practice and which other times when an NBA clock isn't ticking?

You're gonna have to quit the hilarious mental gymnastics and take the L, cuz I done proved your statement as idiotic, mine as accurate, and all of Jazzfanz is losing (what little remaining) respect 4 u

Guise TIL players can't have good strokes unless they are getting rotational minutes in the NBA where would I be without NAOSpergers to walk me through the steps of life

Your words are pretty strong. It appears that you're uber-confident that, over the past couple of weeks, you've won the two following arguments with me and others:

1. Trey Burke is going to be a ridiculously amazing backup point guard. Take that mouth-breathers!
2. Pliess shoots with unreal mechanics, but just not during games.

I gotta say, you're just taking the honeys to school lately. Winning arguments of incredible significance.

I wouldn't say under talented so much as there is a lot of young talent developing in the league right now. It seems a new group of stars is taking over. I couldn't believe how much Carmelo has sunk -- he always sucked to me -- but you could see he is really struggling. Probably part of it has to do with his prima donna attitude, but he looked slow and disinterested out there.
In comparison to other teams, we are under talented. We have terrible PG's and awful back up bigs. Our wing rotation SHOULD be pretty good, except Hood is struggling and Hayward hasn't really stepped it up. We're arguing over Hayward's "consistency." What should be more concerning is our "max," franchise player struggles to reach 20 pts almost every night. He's only exceeded 30 pts. ONE time. I HOPE he's been injured because his performance this year to date has been underwhelming in comparison to what he's being paid and what he should be contributing at that level.

Wouldn't call you and your bluetooth-wearing Pygmy frame a honey, and the more accurate statement is Pleiss doesn't play games (your mental gymnastics at clearly at play here) but the rest rings true!!

This bluetooth joke is funny. Still. I'm basically a Luddite, so it's pretty hilarious. Pygmy frame? Don't get it.

Shooting mechanics, in reality, are relative to the speed of the game. Otherwise the speed of release wouldn't be a factor in determining the quality of shooting mechanics. No mental gymnastics here: the most unreal thing about Pliess's mechanics are just that -- we've barely seen them at this level/speed of play. The NBA, brough. Keep being confident, though; Bollerhack approves.

Demar Derozan has exceeded 30 points this year ONE time. So what?

Hayward hasn't struggled. He simply hasn't be assertive enough.

I love how the hivemind is now univocally in Hayward's jockstrap and ready to misunderstand the smallest bit of intelligent critique. I haven't claimed that he isn't our most important scorer, I haven't claimed that he isn't our leader, I haven't claimed that he hasn't been great lately. The emphasis is on lately. I honestly can't believe I'm having a hard time in a discussion about Hayward's consistency. Is he getting better in this facet? Probably. Does his career show measurable inconsistency? Yes. One word answer.

Look at most player's game logs and they're the same as Hayward. He'll have his 20-24 point nights. He'll have his 17-19 point nights. He'll have his 13-16 point nights. There's nothing unusual about it. Unless you're NAOS and you expect him to turn into Dwayne Wade circa 2008-2009 and start scoring 30 points per game.

But that's not who he is. He's athletic and skilled enough to be about 20-22 point scorer in this league. Unless you want him to start playing hero ball and chucking up anything he wants and turning the ball over at a higher rate and therefore taking shots away from his teammates who you say need shots.

Thanks for telling me how to look at a boxscore. And for outlining a brilliant comparative method.

No problem. That's what I'm here for. To knock some ****ing sense into you and put you in your place.

you've always been at your cutest when you're trying to rip off Trout circa-2009. This was a good example.

Still obsessing with Trout. That's cute. Maybe go meet up with him again. Oh, that's right...

Okay.

Here is what really, really happened.

Trout and NAOS were to meet to fight it out (I guess).
Trout and I were at Ancestor Square and Trout was saying he really needed to get back to SLC but he wasn't about to leave and not show up.

I explained that he would really be an idiot if he hung around, missed his meeting in SLC and NAOS didn't show.

I advised that he leave because the meeting up north was more important than this dumb rendezvous even if it were to happen.
He agreed and headed out.

I was at the square when I got a text from Trout explaining that apparently NAOS had in fact showed up and asked me to go over to George's and try to confirm.
I headed over walked around and thought I had maybe spotted who NAOS might have been. Sitting in the lowest level by the pool table.

To the best of my recollection I turned so the dude could see my Kentucky pullover and just said, "sup." Because the dude didn't engage me I figured it probably wasn't him but it turned out it was.

That's about it.
