Would you be disappointed if we don't make Playoff this season?

The emotional part of me would be disappointed.

But knowing that we likely be 7th or 8th spot in the West which means getting eliminated in the first round by Warriors or Spurs, the logical part of me actually rather stays clear of those bottom seeding and get a pick.

How do you feel about potentially missing out on playoff this particular season?

For the first time in years, WE DONT NEED THE HIGH PICK.

I would far rather fight it out, make the 7th or 8th seed, and see what happens. Yeah, probably a quick exit with one, two or maybe no wins. But while in the past it made sense to tank for a pick, it doesn't any more at all. We have PLENTY of assets to trade for most anything we want and have the core to not need a lotto pick.

In order for our young core to move in the right direction, the Jazz MUST make the playoffs this year. If they don't I think it will be a huge step backward and I'm afraid this team will forever be a team with "potential" but never amounting to anything. Who cares if we're a 7th or 8th seed, if we can give the Warriors or Spurs a difficult time and win a game or two, I will be happy with that. It's a step in the right direction...

Of ****ing course? What's the alternative, a marginally better pick in theory? Also, with a lot of good players and no great ones, the 12th/13th pick versus the 16th/17th means even less.

It's time to ****ing win.

We need to make it. Getting into the lottery at a 13-14th pick < playoff experience at this point. This team might
get smashed in the playoffs, but it needs to learn exactly what kind of level they'll have to play at to win.

Who knows with all these tough gut wrenching losses maybe we'll figure it out before then, get a FA via trade, or an elite team leader emerges.

I'm over the lottery. We are better at picking later anyways.

If this squad can't make it this year (barring a more extended Rudy absence than anticipated) they'll need much more than a draft pick.

I won't be disappointed. The injury to Exum (and failure to sign a decent replacement) made Utah a .500 team and making the playoffs was going to be tough. Rudy missing 20 or so games could result in enough losses to make it almost impossible to catch up, similar to what happened with OKC last season. We have zero PG's (unless the Alec Burks experiment pans out) and our backup bigs are horrible. I'm more concerned with what Lindsey does coming up to the deadline. DL HAS to make some moves. Doing NOTHING will signal the Jazz are a cheap organization, content to screw the fans over by just milking them for profits (Jazz are 28th in payroll right now). My biggest fear is at the deadline and into next summer, Lindsey, after failing yet again to make any significant signings, will say the focus is on player development and our biggest "free agent" is getting Dante back - just as he did with Burks.

I feel really upset whenever we lose close games to the best teams in the league.

My head says i shouldn't expect to much from this team, but my heart says we are the best in the league and it will be upset with anything less.

Win. Chemistry.
We need to prepare the existing pieces for our best draft pick in franchise history.. albeit a ways off.
