I'm not so sure that Deron Williams is the kind of difference maker that Carmelo Anthony is.
That being said, I'm not sure if you need an elite level PG to win an NBA championship.
On the bright side, we got 6 great years from Deron Williams. Went to a conference finals and was mostly competitive in the playoffs while he was here. Losing Boozer and Korver we already were kind of gearing towards rebuilding anyways, and since we probably couldn't get a solid commitment from Deron Williams it was better that we got a lot more value out of him then he'll probably give to the Nets.
