What's new

Second favorite team

So i am life long Jazz fan. I have been a fan since summer Jazz basketball camps with Delainy Rudd and Mike Brown back in 85. I will always be a 100% Jazz fan. I watch most games and try to go on a road trip every year. This year has been a hard year for the Jazz. We started out with so much potential and then it all just fell apart. Because of that I found myself watching other teams. Lately it has been the Chicago Bulls. I can't help but like them. So my question is... Am I betraying my Jazz Loyaltys by watching Chicago Jazz games?

I think you can answer that question.... Let's put it this way if your wife or gf. was disfigured or something, and you left her, are you betraying her?

You be the judge.

My second favorite team is the god damn Spurs, son of bitches, who do they think they are playing great TEAM basketball on the offense and defensive end. Well coached and actually LISTENING to the coaches (WOW! What a concept!)

But I'm sorry, that "small market" line for San Antonio is ********. When Dallas and Houston are out of the playoffs, the entire state of Texas is a San Antonio fan! (That equals about 24,782,302 fans, give or take a few...that's close to 1/15th the entire population of the US all rooting for one team...NOT including fans around the world)

Eff the Spurs! I hate that I like them 2nd most...

I lived near LA for years so I am a closet Clipper fan. I also like to watch OKC even though I can't fully get excited for them because they move the team from Seattle and they are in the Jazz division. However if the Jazz are not in the playoffs, I will root for anyone that is not the Heat or Lakers.

Wait, wait, wait. Who here is having sex with a player on the Jazz? Did I miss something? I'm pissed if I did.

Wow. Someone said anyone but the Lakers. Me too.

See, I used to live in LA (for 5 years). Before that I was completely monogamous to my hometown Utah Jazz. But in LA all they ever put on TV were Laker games (go figure). They might've played clippers games too but I don't remember. The clippers weren't stuffed down my throat like the Lakers were. Man, the lakers are such a great team to HATE. I hate them so much! Being in LA and having Kobe on billboards in my face all the time only magnified my hatred. I HATED when the Jazz traded Mcleod + Bronco for Derek Fisher! Man, if there is anyone that is going to keep me out of heaven it's Derek Fxxking Fisher! ....where was I?

I love basketball. I really missed getting to watch my hometown Jazz in LA. :( All I was left with were those villainous Lakers and so I rooted for whoever was playing them that night. This was actually pretty great. I became a fan of a lot of different teams and a lot of different players. This was back when Divac and Bibby and Christie and Turkoglu et all were on the Kings -- back when they got robbed by the refs in the 2002 WCFs. Man, that was a great team to watch. I even remember watching them destroy my Utah Jazz in Stockton and Malone's final years. It made me sad, but still I was really impressed with those Kings. Great team. Peja became my favorite player in the league (after Stockton retired).

Anyway, it felt a little weird at first not hating all who didn't wear the Jazz uniform (I'm so glad they don't wear those stupid mountain range unis anymore), but it's better to love than to hate.

No team will ever eclipse my love for the Jazz. But living in Lakerland caused my heart to grow and make room for more and more. It feels great. I finally see the beauty of polygamy.
