What's new

Gordon Hayward

Do you even know what out of the box thinking means you ****tard? 'Cause what the Knicks did wasn't that.
Hey, little one, talk to your mommy and daddy about cursing. They will tell you that people who do that are immature, stupid, rude, and losers with no job and no girl. Don't worry, little one, maybe one day you will grow up and use real vocabulary words, not ones you learned from the movie STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON. And, little boy, that movie is no way to lead your life. You will not be a big time rapper just because you curse. What you will be is an immature, stupid, rude loser with no job and no girl.

And, yes, using the fourth pick in the NBA draft to select a 19 year old Latvian is "out of the box thinking." You wouldn't understand that because you get tripped up on the word "thinking."

When you try too hard to convince someone your point, the argument really falls off. You end up looking like you're begging for people to agree with you. Carry your opinion with confidence. If people don't like Porzingas then whatever. I'm glad you got him but NYK is the richest franchise with a terrible record. You belong among the ranks with the Lakers.

Good thread. Remember all those idiotic "whose a leader thread" and a lot of folks kept pointing to Trey Burke... a lot of folks bashed on Hayward because he's too quiet?

From the SL Trib: . And after missing 12 of 13 attempts that night in Minnesota last month, Hood found himself extremely disheartened before Jazz forward Gordon Hayward grabbed his ear.
"We had a long conversation after the game," Hood said.
The advice was simple — keep your head up, keep shooting, we need you — but for Snyder it showed Hayward’s maturity and Hood’s growing relationship with the young Jazz leader. It was also, apparently, quite effective.
"You know, I told myself I wasn’t going to drop my head anymore this season, regardless if I shot the ball well or not," Hood said. "I was going to be aggressive. My team needs that. They believe in me."

Hayward knows head trauma. Playing Doc now, which is cool.

Nice try, ****tard.

"Thinking outside the box (also thinking out of the box or thinking beyond the box) is a metaphor that means to think differently, unconventionally, or from a new perspective. This phrase often refers to novel or creative thinking."

It wasn't out of the box thinking. Unless you wanna ignore the fact that every site had him going in the lottery, most high in the lottery, and some even mentioning that he could go #1 based on his workouts. ****tard.

Malone didn't play center, it would be weird if he was asked Malone for more than a few possessions.

Hakeem, Ewing, and Robinson are certainly great players and Im not suggesting Gobert would shut them down, but I think he could hold his own against them.

Moses

I love Hayward. But as good as it gets as a #2? Not sure about that. It's pretty ****ing hard to win a championship, It would take an extremely deep team with great depth for Hayward to be the second best player on a championship team.

Durrant/Westbrook have been to one finals (with Harden and Ibaka!) and got creamed.

LeBron could only win 2 out of 4 with prime Wade (and Bosh) for help. And LeBron in a top 5 all time, unreasonable to expect that someone like Lebron would ever be your #1 player. Paul Geroge, Kawhi Leonard, etc. are better examples.

If Curry suddenly came to the Jazz are we a championship contender? Absolutely. But is Hayward the second best player in that scenario? I suppose you could argue anything from 2-4. But I think Gobert and Favors would be more important if you had Curry. So there's that.

Hayward on the Warriors this year, he's the fourth best player. Warriors are stupid good though, so admittedly that's not a fair comparison.

Love Hayward. But we aren't going far if he's the #2 on this team, let alone the #1.

I totally get your point but if Favors is our #3, Hood our #4 and Gobert our #5, then yeah, we'd roll mother****ers.
