Why they being bishes now? Pretty lame imo

Probably nothing, but I was listening to The Vertical's podcast w/ Rodney Hood this morning and they asked him about the Exum/Burks injuries and how that impacted the Jazz morale for the season, he said the usual thing but at the end he said "... hope we get them back healthy next year".
 
Really makes me think that he is being held out due to worry that bringing him back would ruin the good thing they have going right now or something non health related.

Which I'm ok with btw. The jazz are rolling of late. I'm a little worried myself that if they bring him back it could screw things up.

Im pretty certain that health wise he is ready to play.

Favs missed a lot of time being day to day... they kind of were bishes there.

I think they have a trade worked out (or hopes for a trade), but can't get it done if he is hurt.

I wanted him back and playing though so that he is a trade asset going into the offseason. I'm not sure he's a long term fit here. If something good were to come up on the market he might be part of the package to go get it... his salary helps. I don't know what it does to his trade value if other teams don't see him out on the court playing.

I also don't see how subbing him in for CJ's 10-15 minutes would hurt us... for every good play CJ makes he bricks four open jumpers.

I don't think we are looking that far ahead and I don't think any trade would be solid enough that it would dictate the way we handle him. If I was the other team I'd actually say I wouldn't take him unless I'd seen him come back and play on his busted leg.

I also don't see Burks as damaged goods. Both injuries were the result of hard/ill timed fouls. Neither injury is of the Rose variety where it affects his explosiveness long term. Plenty of guys have had a couple unlucky years and very productive careers after.
