Me too. He works on my shift and he is just as into Jazz basketball as anyone on this site. We talk about the Jazz all the time and he streams a lot of the games on his phone so I've been able to watch the finish of a few huge games from last season because of him.

He is way into being in the league and I'm sure he'll improve over the course of the season. He is brand new to poker. I think that was the second poker game he's played in.
 
Sorry I missed the game this month, I had a last minute business trip come up.

Did you decide on the date of the next game?

We are looking at either the 11th or the 18th. If you have a strong preference one way or another let me know. Austin is flying back into town on the 11th but he said it works for him as long as we start at 6pm or later. The 18th is the Saturday before Father's Day, so I'm leaning towards the 11th.
 
Good game everyone. The diverse group of personalities makes for a great poker game. Jamezz got me good, I checked right into a straight and gave him all my chips with a pair of jacks.

Yeah I think it's awesome that we had a native Spaniard, a native Jordanian and a native Brazilian in a seven person home poker game in Utah.

Crap, I have something on the 11th. But the 18th works for me.
 
So one week away from the next game. I'm planning on 5pm, please let me know if that works.

There is a slim chance that I'll get forced for OT and if that happens I might have to push the game back to 7:30. They could spring that on me as late as Friday afternoon, but I doubt it'll happen.

We should get a 9th league player for tomorrow's game. That means there will be $450 in the league prize pool. I said that for a single table league we'd do 50/30/20 payouts. That comes to $225 for 1st, $135 for 2nd and $90 for 3rd..
 
For anyone interested, there is still one league spot open. We've only played one game and we're counting the best five results, so you'd just drop the first game and still have a full five games left to build up your score.

I'll have three different beers on tap tomorrow.

Worker Bee Bitter -- Ordinary Bitter

This is a low alcohol beer, intended to be a "session" type beer, meaning that you could drink several throughout a prolonged drinking "session" without getting absolutely pissed.

It's 3.5%ABV (to translate that to Utah beer standards, that's 2.8%ABW)

Stormborn Ale -- British Golden Ale

This is a very light colored and relatively dry beer. Very clean and crisp. Golden Ale was a style that developed in the UK to compete with the rising popularity of light lagers.

I didn't have a name for it when I was brewing but it was raining with a lot of thunder, and this being a very light blonde colored beer I took inspiration from GoT and named it Stormborn Ale.

4.4%ABV

Pistol Porter -- English Brown Porter

A smooth chocolatey, biscuity beer. Not roasty like a stout.

4.7%ABV
 
I expect 8 players. Gustavo is out for tonight's game. There should be a new league player.

Don't forget, tonight's game is at my house. Please don't go to Gustavo's house.
