What's new

On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you for this season?

Waiting for someone to say 7 so we can all argue with him.

For the sake of argument I will go with a 7. I am definitely not from the everyone gets a trophy generation a 10 excitement should be reserved for something VERY special. Same goes for customer service surveys. I almost never give a 10 because there is always room for improvement. Don't get me wrong I really like the Hill trade and I am very excited for this season and expect a push for 50 wins and home court in the playoffs.

Watching the playoffs left me wishing that we had people who could consistently shoot the 3. It seemed like when the warriors were dropping 3 balls they were unbeatable. When they weren't, well... So who on the Jazz do you see stepping up and hitting the long ball? My dream would be to have 3 or 4 guys who every time they shot the ball you would be like, "Oh yeah, that's in" instead of like, "What the crap?"

it's always 10 tbh. when we didn't sign jefferson or milsap and let everyone walk, i knew we were gonna be bad but really excited to see young guys lol

I'm always at a 10 even when we suck. I just love jazz basketball. Tank the season? 10. Just miss the playoffs 10. Get durant and compete for a title? 10.

I do get your point though. I definitely would prefer the third scenario but after a long boring sports summer (**** golf, nascar, soccer, baseball, etc..... I do like mma though) I'm always amped up as high as possible jazz ball. By the time tip off of the first pre-season game arrives I'm at a 10 on the excitement level every year.

There is probably something wrong with me

From you I believe 10 might be accurate.

So with a little more movement around the league, specifically Durant and Pau, does anybody's excitement level change?

Seems like a lot of people are feeling like who gives a **** now that the GSWs are pretty much locked in at #1 in the West.

They were already pretty much locked in at #1 but now it's just silly.

Anyway, I've moved up a bit, I think I'm an 8.5 now.

My mood hasn't dampened at all. I'm hoping a team out there comes up with a strategy to knock off the Warriors and make them fall flat on their face. I like the idea of a defensive juggernaut playing a slow-paced, physical, grind it out game vs. the Warriors in the playoffs. Dictate the pace, tempo and style of play. Force the Warriors into a half-court game. Limit their transition opportunities. I think they'll run into injury issues as well. With no depth, their starters will have to play more minutes and EVERY team will be gunning for them all year to try to gain an edge.

I'm hoping the Jazz get back to what made them great to finish out the year after they traded Kanter. Their goal should be keeping their opponent under 90 points every game. I think that a better bench will go a long way towards that (especially since Burke and Booker won't be getting any minutes.)

I could kiss you.
