2016 Annual JazzFanz Current Players Draft

Every gambling website has him as the 2nd best odds at winning MVP. They have Curry as 1st still, but like I said in the previous post, I don't see the NBA awarding a 3rd straight MVP given teh changes to their team and just a historical tendency to not give MVP to the same person 3 times in a row (I think it only happened with Wilt and Bill).

Has it ever happened (insane usage player winning MVP on a 9th-7th seed team)? I find this shocking.

Kawhi is my pick for MVP next season.

Warriors(Curry/Durant/Dray) are super stacked, they'd have to absolutely crush it(75 wins or something stupid) for anybody to win. Westbrook/Harden/Davis teams just won't be good enough. CP3 never finishes high in the MVP voting for whatever reason. Lebron unlikely to go very hard in the regular season. Leaves Kawhi in my opinion, who'll be the clear #1 on the 2nd best team in the west (and maybe the league).

Round 5

57. Dr. Jones - Devin Booker
58. Fivas - JJ Redick
59. King Cy
60. Bern
61. Bern
62. Thee jazz fan - Ryan Anderson
63. Thee jazz fan - Reggie Jackson
64. One Love
65. Addictionary
66. White Chocolate
67. Prodigy
68. Ellis269
69. Ellis269
70. Siro

Westbrook
Harden
Curry
Lebron
Davis

That would be my top 5 in order of likeliness of winning MVP.

MVPs are almost always from a 55+ win team. LeBron, Kawhi, Durant, Steph (in no particular order)

Davis, Harden, Westbrook -- highly unlikely unless teams greatly exceed expectations.

I think Blake is a sleeper for MVP. Last season was a cluster**** for him in many ways and I could see him regrouping this off-season and killing it next. He finished 3rd two years ago I think and I feel like he hasn't had his career year yet. I'd be curious what his odds are. At 7:1 or better, I think I'd do him.

If Clippers get second seed, ditto for CP3. I think the Spurs are going to drop back.

how many people have averaged a near triple double and not been MVP? How many times have 2 of the top 3 players (with two additional top 20 players on their team) been on the same team and one of them won MVP? This year is a pretty unique situation so I don't think team record is a must to be MVP.

Can someone post a updated draft board. Domt want to wade through all this fun banter to see who's available

He put up insane numbers when Durant was out. Still, 42% FG, 30% 3pt, and 4.4 TO. You don't win the MVP when your team barely makes the playoffs putting up massive numbers by being the man. I agree that the situation is kind of unique, but chances are, IMO, next to nill.

Dr. Jones updated it several times already. It's a couple of posts above yours.
