What's new

Utah @ memphis 3/21 (6:00 pm mt)

Al jefferson was our leading assister last night with 4...

I know all some of y'all were pretty high on harris, but I haven't really been impressed by him. He seriously lacks the court vision and finishing ability of deron, and his toted defense is all but equal to derons horrendous let-them-blow-right-by-me technique. so far 15pts 5ast 3to's on 40percent shooting isn't really an adequate replacement like the front office wants you to think. All future time money and effort must be spent on developing our rookies and scouting the **** out of the next 2 drafts if this trade is to avoid busting like a fat chicks pants at chuck-o-rama.

I agree. But that is okay, because the Jazz are going to win the lottery and draft Irving.

his one move is driving to the hoop. He's good at it but at some point he'll slow down. Over the summer they need to send Harris to Stockton. Earl Watson is the better at running the Jazz offense.

If we lose this game we can FINALLY let this season go!

Since you apparently need permission, please feel free to let go of the season if they lose. Unfortunately... and I know this is going to disappoint you and others like you... the remaining games are not going to be canceled and those of us who are competitive will still be hoping for wins and discussing what could be done to accomplish that.

Taking it a little too seriously buddy. I will say I'm in the boat of wanting two lottery picks, but when the games are actually being played I cant help but to still root on my team for the win. Thinking realistically though wins this year really won't help us in moving forward. Will a mid 1st rounder push us over the top? Probably not, but I want that to bean asset this offseason that could help us maybe move up in the draft (I want DWill)

Honest question. Does Harris do anything to help our team?

his average GmSc (a calculation for how much one contributes in the game[more explanation at the bottom]) since joining the jazz is a very uninspiring 10.7. a GmSc of 10 is the average score for bench players.

al jefferson for instance, over the same 12 games devin harris has participated in, has a GmSc of 20.9, essentially doubling the contributions.

Harris's PER since the trade is a 15.5 (7th on team behind gasp.. miles)
Harris's opponent is scoring 7.4 more points per game than he is
the jazz are being outscored by 2.6 when he is on the floor

so i'd say no, not really helping us.

***Game Score; the formula is PTS + 0.4 * FG - 0.7 * FGA - 0.4*(FTA - FT) + 0.7 * ORB + 0.3 * DRB + STL + 0.7 * AST + 0.7 * BLK - 0.4 * PF - TOV. Game Score was created by John Hollinger to give a rough measure of a player's productivity for a single game. The scale is similar to that of points scored, i.e., 40 is an outstanding performance, 10 is an average performance, etc.***
