Detroit to Explore PG Market with Injury to Jackson

Love it, we finally get the depth we have all been craving and our first impulse is to trade it away.

No. Ride with what we have for now.

I never said do the trade, I just brought it up because we have four PG's and I'm sure it's something that is being/has been discussed behind closed doors by Detroit and Utah.

And I didn't single you out. I used plural words such as "we" for a reason.

We're not getting a 1st for Mack. The better question is if Exum looks really good come January, what could we get for Hill? Let's face it. We're not winning it all this year but if the Pistons are willing to give up an unprotected 1st for Hill, then I think that's something we really need to consider. That would give us a ton of assets in what is a killer 2017 draft.

Jackson is supposed to be back before January.

With the potential new cba containing two way contracts between NBA and dleague I could see second round picks being much more valuable. If you can roster those extra guys you have more chances to find the diamond in the rough. Part of the reason we've sold picks was because we had no where to put these guys. I'd consider moving Mack for a good second rounder or a couple second rounders even if one is a few years away. Stack up those second rounders DL.

Hill will be a keeper long term. I think he's more likely to be on the roster in 12 months than burks.

Hmm...I wonder if they could get creative with this. Mack isn't worth a first round pick, but what about a first round pick swap?

And if Exum or Hill goes down with an injury, do we really want to be relying on Neto at the backup pg spot? Is it really worth the gamble with all Utah has at stake this season? Utah HAS to win this year with Hayward's future status in question. Even if some fans see little difference in Mack or Neto, I don't think Quin sees it that way. Actually, I could see Mack playing a bigger role than most expect this year, as Exum is bound to struggle at times.

This isn't the year to gamble on losing a few more games in the present in order to collect future assets.

I like Neto. I think if we lost exum burks could pick up more minutes... I get your point but I'm not sure we need to be 4 deep at pg.

Quin also preferred Booker over Gobert in crunch time last year, so that's not saying much.
