Philly trade idea

There are some things I dislike about him but I think on a winning team he will play a little more defense and play a little harder. I like his offense and is going to get better, he is really young. The thing I dont love is matching him with Lyles. That is a lot of inside outside offense but no defense. Okafor is a decent rebounder.

LOL, wut? First off, I don't want some player who we have to coerce defense out of. Secondly, he's not athletic or bright enough to even play average defense if he wanted. Lastly, he's not a decent rebounder. He's ****ing mediocre as ****. Maybe not Brook Lopez awful but very medicore nonetheless. He's averaging 3.3 rebounds this year in 20+ minutes of play. For his career, in 28 mpg, he's averaging 6.3 rebounds per. The guy's a ****ing bum.

I'm not trading Burks or anyone on this team for a third big to play 15 20 mins a night. Burks will play a huge role on this team as the second unit stabilizer and 6th man, and fixes some of our offensive issues in the second unit. He's not nearly as valuable to us as a trade chip as he is as our sixth man, assuming he ever plays again. Lol

When Alec is back, closing like Alec Baldwin in Glengary Glen Ross people will change their tune quickly.

He's going to take Shelvin "40%FGs, 30% from 3" Mack's minutes.. which means a huge boost, closing out quarters will go much better..

I think he can be really good on the right team, I just don't think Utah is that team.

Philly would laugh at you. Got to do a lot better then Burks to make that trade happen. Maybe if you combined Whitey with him then you could get it done because Whitey trade value is sky high and so is Burks who always injured. I cant believe some of the things you people post here.

I dont know what we would do without Burks, but since the entire league is after him we could probabaly get a lot for him.

Well so far we are playing just over .500 ball. And when we last had him we played, well, right around .500 ball.

This, but if for some reason they were willing to trade Okafor for Burks and GS or OKC first that would be a good trade. Okafor coming off the bench would be okay, he is still young and can score. Plus that would help with our cap situation going forward for a couple years. I dont see why they would give up that fast on Okafor for that little.

Agreed. Prefer Noel's game to Okafor's but see Okafor as a better fit due to contract & skill-set. Could see him having a similar impact as Kanter has on OKC without the financial albatross. Doubt PHI gives him up cheaply enough to be worth doing tho. His low-post scoring ability would be a nice but unnecessary luxury to have on the roster.

Also agree regarding Lyles, would have to mix & match with the other bigs
