Rumor: DMo to sign with Jazz if Favors misses extended time

He is a RFA, we don't need to trade anyone.

The question is how much do you offer and how many years.

I don't think we can afford him past this current year and I think we would be much better served to use the capspace we have right now to front-load a Favors or Hill contract.

In the early part of the video he sure moves like a 7 ft. point guard. His fluidity is really impressive. So is his passing. Later in the video he looks like he's not moving quite as well. He had back surgery and some complications after his comeback but had 14 pts. 13 Reb. in a game during last years playoffs.

He seems to have a lot of confidence and maybe he's the kind of guy that you bring in and he plays hard and with gratitude.

Reading clutchfans and laughing at them.

About how DMO on the Jazz means he'd be dead to them, jazz are a "desperate" team that will overpay, "Jazzhole" (at least it's new)...

Reading how salty the fans are over DMO not wanting to be a Rocket is fairly entertaining.

Lol they are just trash. A crap team with even worse fans. I hope we get them in the first round so we can bounce them from the playoffs for the hundredth time.

So what appears to be the case is that DMo wanted either a short-term high value contract or a long-term medium value contract. The Rockets didn't offer either. Reports are that they offered 1 year 7M. So we are really talking about offering him somewhere between 7 and 13.65M(the capspace we have). I guess if we can't reach an agreement with Favors or Hill for renegotiation and extension, this becomes a good option to spend the money - pay him the 13.65 for this year and possibly for another one?

And with that said, I wonder why the Nets haven't tried to give him that type of money already? They can afford to give him 12-13M for several years without much problem.

I figure this becomes the option if we dont re-sign Favors and we decide to move on with Lyles. Again, as others have stated, what he brings to the table seems slightly redundant with Lyles being around.

Man, I really really hope Derrick gets better :(

I'd rather use the money to extend hill and favors. Boris is looking better and so is lyles. Those two players are each about the samw as dmo to me.
