I've seen Gobert hang on/pull up on the rim many times. I think he rightfully gets a pass because he usually dunks in traffic.

LOL he dunked over Robinson Monday night and then turned around and popped a flex on him.

For one reason or another, some hard *** ref is gonna T him up eventually.

I can live with it.

I felt like I saw a few moments were Rudy and Gordon were acknowledging their mutual burning desire to win. Maybe the Rudy-Gordon relationship would be what will keep Gordon as a FA here.

Note George Hill has that kind of crazy too. On rare occassions Favors and Hood have it.

Did you see the interview with Hayward about his close friendship with Ingles? Appears keeping Joe is likely a bigger factor than retaining his little buddy from Butler. Also Gordon and Hill are friends. If DL decides Hayward is worth $30m/ per, he'll stay.

You are acting as if the rookie Rudy was as good as he now is; he wasn't. He often looked completely lost.
Ok, then. Let's also criticize Quin for often benching Gobert down the stretch last season, which weakened defense and rebounding...the reasons Quin cited for why we lost so many close games.
QS no longer has to, because teams can't just hack him and expect two missed FT's.

I've been a HUGE Corbin critic, but not using Rudy more as a rookie wasn't one of his faults.

I am THRILLED to have mis-forecast Hayward, he's All-Star bound if he keeps up this pace. And as a reminder, I did not predict he would be worse, but rather that he would become an uber-facilitator and playmaker, and therefore his usage/spg would be slightly down, his efficiency would go up and therefore his ppg would not go up. Why? Because he had more and better shooters/ scorers to distribute to. I still think he can approach LBJ type assist numbers (career 7 apg) once the Jazz are fully healthy. I think the Jazz would be a better team with Gordon at 19 ppg and 7 apg than with him at 22 ppg and 4 apg.

Now, you predicted Exum would get 3 free throws per game, which would have been awesome, but turned out to be pretty boneheaded given where he is in his early development. But you missed -- by a lot -- specifically by a factor of 2.5. Admit a mistake, give it a try, we will still love you.

i don't think he deserves to be ripped too bad, but he should have played Rudy more. did he look lost sometimes? yes, but when he was in, he produced in a big way. per 36 numbers were excellent - protecting the rim and rebounding. again, he wasn't the player he is now, but he was good. he played 9 minutes a game, that probably should have been 18.
