Just read it. The Kobe part was intriguing to me. Hayward wants to be great and this season, to me anyway, seems to embody the biggest leap from one season to the next, since he's entered the league. There is a completely different swagger and confidence to him, a difference in production as well, and a general aura that he knows when to sit back and when to step up or when to simply let the game come to him. He seems to understand each moment in the game better and when to assert himself or not.

Over the last 10 games, Gordon is behind only Cousins and Lou Williams in points per 100 possessions.

Agreed. Honestly he could take a bit of a step back from what he is currently doing and still be a guy I hope stays with the jazz as a max money dude.

It highlighted what is probably Hayward's biggest weakness and that is his confidence can be waning.

You'd be surprised what a few all star games can do for a players confidence.

I think we can safely count Doc in as someone who will vote Hayward for an All-Star.

As Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James talked trash and traded secrets, Hayward dribbled alone. Smeathers stopped the car and asked Hayward: "Do you even want to be here?"

They asked Hayward why he didn't talk to any of the world's best players, or pick their brains. "They wouldn't talk to me," Hayward demurred, according to his trainers.

This **** humanizes the **** out of Hayward, and it makes me want him to **** down all of their pansy *** throats that much more.

Dayum that article was an eye-opener. Always had a bit of a love hate thing for Kobe, but now I just love the guy. Hayward has really turned the corner and I've got to think that the time spent with Kobe had something to do with it. This article was right on the money in the aspect that both Hayward and Gobert have made quantum leaps in their development and confidence, particularly Gobert but Hayward looks like that marquee guy now that he was always supposed to be. And I like how he's using that ostracism he felt from the All-Star crowd to drive himself - only interested in competing for a title.

But the most salient thing touched upon in the article from my perspective was the contract talk and which guy to extend between Hill and Favors. I guess the ironic thing is that both guys have missed more time this year than anyone except Burks. We have recently learned to win without Hill though I still believe that given the spacing dilemma of a lineup dependent on both Gobert and Favors, Hill should be the first guy to be extended.
