Rumor: DMo to sign with Jazz if Favors misses extended time

It depends how the CBA define a 'match' is what I'm saying. Does it require that they go through with the contract or can they just let the player walk?

Dude, I'm not making this up. He can't sign or be traded to Brooklyn for exactly a year after Houston matched the contract. ****ing google it if you dont believe me.

There is nothing to define. Houston infact matched the contract. If they didnt, he would be in Brooklyn. It's kind of like a RFA signed a contract then his team matched it.

Bro, it's not 100% clear yet. Look at this tweet:

Basically had HOU let him walk 2 weeks ago he would already be playing for the Nets. Now HOU for some reason matched, then wasted time, then let him walk all for no reason.

It's like Morey hated Sean Marks and wanted to do it out of spite. Nets aren't even in the same CONFERENCE as HOU.

It makes absolutely no sense.

I mean if I were the President of the Players Association I would definitely step in here and see what's going on.

DMo now basically has no leverage. No other teams wanted him other than the Nets. It's a lose-lose situation for the player.

I'm sure other teams wanted him. Being a UFA is a lot different than being RFA.
