SLC Stars: Neto and Burks Highlights

AB looked better in the highlights than the box score. Some nice passes in there. The 5-17 w/ 3 FTA is where I can see the rust. It gives a bit of perspective to what he needs to do to be ready. Sheds a bit of light as to why he has received so few mins from Snyder. Small sample size I know. Raul looked like the crafty player that he is. I've always liked Neto.

Thanks for posting, the Facebook feed was pretty spotty for me.
 
I was impressed with Marcus Paige. He can shoot and he will be back in the league, if not with the Jazz then another team. He already is much better on offense than Dante. But he needs to get a lot stronger.

Not surprised as he has all the tools to be great some day.
 
Big thanks go out to BabyPeterzz for the thread and particularly the videos. I've been waiting patiently to see Burks play all year but sadly I've missed his four minute stints for the Jazz. From the video I want to believe that he hasn't lost a step and he can return to the amazing athlete and talent he was before the injury.

As for Neto, I'd noticed in his last Jazz appearance (Memphis maybe) that he'd really turned the corner with his game and his confidence is soaring. He's gotten too good to be riding the pine as a fourth string point guard. Love to package him and Withey for a more serviceable back-up center just in case Favors goes down again.
 
I'd love for Exum to go down for a month or so and get to the point where he dominates at that level.

This is where a minor league would be great. Let Exum go down, get up to speed, and when he is averaging 20 and 10 with a good shooting percentage, bring him back up. Maybe even a couple weeks before the playoffs.

Would be much better than rotting on the bench.
 
Now that I think about it, I'm pretty convinced Exum probably declined playing in the D-League game. Doesnt really make sense why Neto and Burks would play and Exum wouldn't.
 
think Exum has a fragile demeanor now? wait till he gets schooled by some d-league lifers.

LOL. Said right before he has a great game. Exum probably took the backup PG spot from Mack tonight. If he didn't then he will if he has another game like he did against Detroit.

Im thinking it's more coming from his agent than it probably is Dante. There is still a stigma w/ D-League assignments and his agent probably worries if he goes to the D-League and doesnt dominate, then doesnt have a stellar final rookie contract year, it would affect his value.

My how our expectations for a 5th overall pick have dropped. 4 pts =great game, instant elation. Dante is officially a world beater. Lol im just as glad as you are that Dante didn't **** the bed for once, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

If points were all that Mattered for a PG, then Jimmer would still be in the league. He played great defense and had some very nice assists. I get you won't forgive Dante and nothing he does will ever be good enough for you. But that was a very good game for him. Probably better than 99% of the games Mack has played in his time on this roster.

Better defense than Mack will ever play.
