SLC Stars: Neto and Burks Highlights

I'd love for Exum to go down for a month or so and get to the point where he dominates at that level.

This is where a minor league would be great. Let Exum go down, get up to speed, and when he is averaging 20 and 10 with a good shooting percentage, bring him back up. Maybe even a couple weeks before the playoffs.

Would be much better than rotting on the bench.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty convinced Exum probably declined playing in the D-League game. Doesnt really make sense why Neto and Burks would play and Exum wouldn't.

think Exum has a fragile demeanor now? wait till he gets schooled by some d-league lifers.

LOL. Said right before he has a great game. Exum probably took the backup PG spot from Mack tonight. If he didn't then he will if he has another game like he did against Detroit.

Im thinking it's more coming from his agent than it probably is Dante. There is still a stigma w/ D-League assignments and his agent probably worries if he goes to the D-League and doesnt dominate, then doesnt have a stellar final rookie contract year, it would affect his value.

My how our expectations for a 5th overall pick have dropped. 4 pts =great game, instant elation. Dante is officially a world beater. Lol im just as glad as you are that Dante didn't **** the bed for once, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

If points were all that Mattered for a PG, then Jimmer would still be in the league. He played great defense and had some very nice assists. I get you won't forgive Dante and nothing he does will ever be good enough for you. But that was a very good game for him. Probably better than 99% of the games Mack has played in his time on this roster.

Better defense than Mack will ever play.

Exum has been god awful defensively all season. One game doesnt make up for that. Look at what happened vs orlando... He was annihilated by Payton and replaced by neto. He had a couple more nice moments but plenty of terrible moments too. That's what he is right now... A flicker of hope. I hate watching Mack, but Mack has been much better than exum all season long. The numbers confirm this.

The coaches seem to disagree as Exum did replace Mack as the backup last game. I agree Exum was bad defensively against Orlando, but frankly so was George Hill for most of the game and Neto was no better at stopping Payton.

the difference is hill, in the rare moments he's ineffective defensively, can still be a positive influence offensively, more often than once in a dozen games. That is who exum is right now.
