Fantasy Draft: Sandwiches

It has sandwich right in the name. Ice cream sandwich doesn't even have bread, meat, cheese, veggies, etc etc. Thought this was supposed to be fun and casual. It's not like I choose something outlandish and am trying to cheat or something sheesh. I didn't draft a bowl of soup and put a piece of bread under it. ****ing nazi.

If you eat it with a fork it's not a sandwich. Meat has never been a prerequisite for a sandwich, if it was, vegetarians would never eat a sandwich, and they do (grilled cheese, falafel). Ice cream sandwich is a sandwich. It has two layers of bread, or things that act as bread, that hold a middle layer and are eaten with hands.

Not to mention that a Philly and french dip are almost the same thing. And a roast beef and Italian beef are both really close to Phillies and french dips.

Ya it's been pretty fun.
I would like to do one where you draft ingredients though. Would have some interesting sandwiches and strategies.
You might have a certain sandwich in mind with certain ingredients but other people pick your ingredients so you have to use unorthodox ingredients and come up with an all new sandwich that might seem pretty strange.

Plus you could try to block someone else from making a good sandwich by stealing their ingredients. I would make it about 6 rounds and say that you have to use all 6 picks in your sandwich so that would eliminate the very very basic ones.

Having a versatile sandwich they can still be good with various ingredients would be key.

Great idea. Garbage sammies are better then garbage soup.

The key here is something in between two things.

Lol that an apple sandwich, spaghetti sandwich etc are sandwiches but something that is commonly found on restaurant menus that I have ordered many times is not a sandwich.

All that matters is that you have two similar things on the outside of some stuff. Pretty stupid.

I guess you could put a piece of bread on top of the open faced pot roast sandwich and eat it with your hands while making a huge mess and it would suddenly count!
