Who said great? Im thinking good.
No dude, every rookie is a super-star waiting to happen.
Though I do feel that way about Fultz, but Ball's hype train is eerily reminiscent to D.Russell's and he isnt exactly lighting the league up.
After reading your post and taking it into consideration I still make the trade.Even then, we have we signed a good starting level FA? Boozer and Okur about it.
Didn't someone ask you if you would do the trade if the pick was fultz? No dude, every rookie is a super-star waiting to happen.

Could quin alter his system? I'm not familiar with teams he coached on pre jazz. Did any of his previous teams play at a faster pace?Lulz at Ball's dad being cool with his son playing in Quin's slow, restrained system.
DRuss averaged 19.3 on 41.1% from three with 5.0 assists, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 2.9 turnovers.
Ball is averaging 15.4 on 43.0% from three with 7.6 assists, 6.1 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 2.6 turnovers.
The minutes played difference is nominal. Ball is clearly the better point guard (by a mile), rebounds better, gets more steals and shoots better from 3. Russell scored more because he needed to on a mediocre team but Ball is the clear better prospect imo.
Yeah and guess who had much more talent around him? Lonzo Ball.
Name me a NBA player on Russell's Ohio State team.

Its really hard to say who will be a star. I trust our fo. This all comes down to Hayward. If he can't/won't commit, we gotta think about it. Boston can compete now with Hayward, we got more developing to do.

It seems like when burks and exum are in the game together the pace speeds up.Yeah. There's not enough emphasis put on the separation between the system and the personnel here.. The PG's in place especially Hill and Mack aren't exactly burners.. With Ball, who's electric, there will be much more acceleration involved.
I acknowledged he was on a mediocre team.

You acknowledged he was on a mediocre team and he had to score more which is why he had more points. The point you should have made is that Lonzo Ball is on a stacked team that plays at a close to NBA pace that makes it easy for him to get stats. If Russell was on that team he would have had much better stats than Ball. The way you framed it was wrong IMO. Ball is being overrated because of social media and the hype surrounding his dad/family.
You're missing the point. Boston is the same or better (see our recent h2h result) WITHOUT Hayward. With him, they are so much better. And with Boston, he avoids the "brutal west." You're making my case for me Munson. The Celts are 37-20 in the crappy east.
We are 35-22 in the brutal West.
Yep, time to concede. Hayward for Amir Johnson and front row tix to some Sox games.
