76ers releasing Bogut

Also, the fact that other contenders are looking to bolster their rosters heading into the playoffs shouldn't be overlooked either. If Bogut can help the Jazz AND it hurts the Rockets/Spurs by keeping him off the market. . . that's a win/win. Same thing with Deron Williams and the Cavs. Let them bring Mack off the bench in the playoffs.

I don't get why anybody thinks it's wrong to pick up players that would prefer to play elsewhere. The system is in place for a reason. Use every single resource at your disposal. DL has to start thinking and treating this team like a contender if the players are ever going to buy into it.

I'd claim them both, cut Mack and Withey and then send Neto and Bolomboy down to the Stars for the rest of the year.

Hill, Williams, Exum
Hood, Jingles, Burks
Hayward, JJ
Favors, Diaw, Lyles
Gobert, Bogut

25 games and then let the chips fall where they may.

I'm pretty sure that Williams to Cleveland is a done deal. I suppose that we could afford to offer him more money but I think at this stage in his career he'd prefer to be in Championship contention. Probably already drawing up the paperwork.

I think if you want the team to improve it means you hate all of our current players and are a whiny biotch based on what I hear.

We are only allowed to high five and give each other good games here... no one is allowed to be critical of our personnel decisions or cap management. Also, second round draft picks rule all and you should never trade them for real players who can help now... you can only trade them on draft night and preferably only for cash.

Everyone (media and otherwise) keeps saying this. Why? He can't sign with anyone until he clears waivers. He can't clear waivers unless nobody claims him. Do they use this dissemination to the media to intimidate people from not making a waivers claim?

What top tier organization doesn't try to bolster their roster in a smart fashion any chance they get?
I love this organization, I love our players (I'm an Exum optimist), I think Dennis has done a great job in a lot of ways, but I feel he can be way too conservative at times. He even admitted it last year, yet he's doing to the same thing again. I just don't see a reason why you don't do what Ellis and HH are suggesting. It just strikes me as being too timid to rock the boat, hurt our current players egos, or making a mistake. You have to be bold. ATM we have weaknesses at the backup PG and C (and PF unless Favors recovers this season) positions. It may make our current players feel better about their position but in the long run not reinforcing your roster almost always bites you in the ***.

Or Williams asked to be put on waivers with this scenario in mind. Personally, I think with all the history, the tantrums, the AK freezeout, the Sloan debacle, and the Hayward episode, there will always be a cloud over his head here. Then there's the fact that he further inhibits Exum's growth (were he to sign) when Dante's finally starting to get it. Williams can be a drama queen and a headcase - not for us with our history IMO. I'll root for him in Cleveland though. It may sound funny to some but I think Bogut would bring more value to the Jazz.

You're right. Let me fix it.

Bogut sucks a lot and I don't like him, but most importantly he doesn't really provide any sort of help to this team & I guarantee you that he wont end up in Utah this season. Even if he did, I'd be fine.

I'll save the head-exploding for the Trump voters who see America dive head-first into socialism over the next 20 years.

I think Deron would be nice but I think Bogut is a necessity. I thought this in the summer but they clearly didn't agree with my reasoning. They also offered nothing to trade for him so it appears there's still not as much urgency. We seem to think we're either healthy enough or Diaw as our big is sufficient. I'm not sure which of those false premises is worse to believe in, but as of this moment it's irrelevant because it looks like we believe both.
