The Jazz need new commentary duo

Boler is a guy I loved but he has lost energy, fire and motivation to reflect the game's amazing sequences. Harpring already does not have it. I think the Jazz need another pair of commentary.

(Created a new thread since I thought the other one is irrelevant.)

I think Utah fans were spoiled for years with Hot Rod. He was the best up until those last few years where his health and eyesight declined.

I mean listen to the voice hesitating and giving up on increasing voice in an emphatic dunk like this posterizer that happens between 2 All Stars from different conferences. Especially against a guy who is named the Greek Freak. Come on man you have to explode in a sequence like this https://twitter.com/utahjazz/status/835534709358755840

Did you notice how weird teh Bucks setup is for announcers though? Most teams have announcers in the middle, right by the score keepers. The Bucks have separate table for each broadcast team close to the opposite end sidelines. Booner even commented about being blocked off on a few plays and how hard it was to see on the opposite end.

I wouldnt mind seeing the Jazz go to a 3 announcer team. Anyone ever listen to Dallas? I really like their trio.

I hear Cy jerks off to Boler's voice.

It appears to be pretty easy to catch.

It did seem both were a little subdued last night. Is it possible it was do to their proximity to the Bucks bench? I hadn't noticed it before last night.

ESPN claims Hayward was staring down Giainnis - he's clearly looking at the ref for an and 1.

As for the OP's comment I'd agree. Boler and Matt are lame - they're like a Garrison Keillor warm-up act or something.

It wouldn't bother me if they were also insightful, but you rarely hear anything compelling coming out of either one of them.

One thousand percent. Gtime is not a stare down guy at all. He does his thing and has no need to show other guys up. I also enjoy that he just pushes through the contact and finishes even though he gets fouled the whole drive. He talks to the ref after the play is over... doesn't stop to whine.

As far as the overall theme... Look they got rid of Steve Brown and gave us the pretty attractive, but not so attractive that my wife hates her, sideline reporter.

Announcers are generally annoying and cheesy... it's just how they are wired. Bolerisms drive me crazy, but I am now enjoying the calls he has no clue on, the clear two pointers he thinks are threes, etc.

He's no Hot Rod... no one will ever replace that guy... but I'm not going to kill him because of that.

Just glad there is no Steve Brown.

They are okay. I don't hate them. Booner definitely bugs me more than Harpring. And I would have to turn the radio signal on if they ever put locke on the TV. That guy drives nails into my skull when I try and listen to the radio now.

Hayward has definitely stopped and whined to refs on plays before though. He has a little Blake Griffin in him.
