The Jazz need new commentary duo

Locke would actually be pretty good if he spent the next 10 years smoking 2 packs a day. His voice is like nails on a chalkboard wheN he gets excited.

My number one option is that the Jazz hire IBM's Watson to resurrect the voice of Hot Rod.

I agree, it is getting a bit 'stale'. A third more 'energetic' commentator like the one DAL has, or a third woman commentator like the one CHA has could do the trick.

I just think Matt Harpring needs to step up his game. If you're not going to be loud & exciting, at least be a more technical and knowledgable in terms of the different plays, how plays develop, etc.

As an example, the LAC's commentator, although he's not the most exciting, he has a lot of knowledge about what goes on around the league with different teams, and I learn quite a bit each time I listen to him commentate.

I'm not sure if people are referring to radio or tv/videostream...If it is tv/videostream them I don't mind Harpring and Boler. I'm a bit less enthusiastic about Boler and Boone.. But in the end I don't really care because I am watching the game. I'm not sure why so many need to rely on the commentary for play insights (unless they are talking about radio, don't watch the game, or are blind)...

I also know I can't stand listening to other commentators because every one has a slight bias towards their own team.

It is not about relying on their insights to follow the game, it's enjoying the excitement of the moment that is reflected in the perfect mood by the commentator. I find this one of the most important things that affect the excitement you take out of a televised game.

The Jazz are achieving good things and hopefully are on the edge of achieving greater things right now, gotta have that reflected with excitement on the mic.

I post, therefore I am.

I think they're usually really good at home, I assume they feed off the crowd a bit.
