Yes I know a lot of us love Millsap, but this trade makes sense. The difference in points would easily be made up by someone else taking Bell’s shots. Reasons I make this trade:
One is that we get rid of Bell.
Two there are few small forwards in the draft rated top 12 compared to power forwards. Harrison Barnes is not coming out.
Three the power forward we pick with the 12th pick (I want Brandon Knight with the 6th pick) would be happy to play on our second unit. Just don’t think Millsap would be happy going back to the second unit.
Fourth it forces Corbin to play Favors, which is our future.
Our starting five next season, if there is a season, would be:
Point Guard – Harris
Shooting Guard – Hayward
Small forward – Granger
Power forward – Favors
Center – Jefferson
I think with that team we are back in the playoffs, and we have two top twelve lottery picks to strengthen our second unit. Your thoughts????????????

Yes, I would do this trade. I doubt the Pacers would though. They have Hansborough who is Millsap-esque PF already.

dude, almost everybody is going to support this trade. The problem is getting Indy to support it -- especially since the Psycho T is starting to play Millsapian ball.

cute idea.

Three way trade? Maybe someone has something Indiana needs or wants, that would love to have Millsap. Also the trade works if we add Ante Tomic to go with Bell and Millsap. Maybe that is the additional sweetner to bring them to the trade table.

Take bell out and add miles and Indy might bite. Miles is a lot younger and better contract. They like psycho t but millsap is a lot better. Maybe switch picks in the draft.

Agree with everyone else. The trick is making Indy like it. A 3rd team with something the pacers want might do it.

What do the pacers want?

yes, yes, a million time yes. Unfortunately I doubt it happens.

I think IND would want Hayward. I would move Milsap / Hayward for Granger / Psycho T

We should move Raja for Flynn

PG Harris/Flynn
SG Draft Pick/ Draft Pick ????? or CJ
SF Granger/ CJ
PF Favors/Psycho T
C Jefferson/ ????

Flynn was horrible this year. Rather have Ridnour from MN.

INDY would definitely want Hayward...
Millsap/Hayward/both '11 #1s for Granger/PsychoT/George/'12 #1

Harris/Watson
CJ/Bell/(Price?)
Granger/George/Evans
Favors/PsychoT
Jefferson/Memo/(Fes?)

Hadn't really thought of a Hayward package for Granger. I don't like to think about that, but you'd have to find out what Indy wanted if they were willing. Granger's worth more than Hayward, but I don't know how you sweeten the deal to get the value right. Hayward plus Memo for Granger leaving out the picks would be pretty tempting.

It isn't happening. We've seen variations on Millsap/Granger a million times already.

You never know did you see the fans and how they reacted when he was there. It is the "JImmer effect". I can see the Jazz drafting JImmer just because of the way fans will react. I think that GM will leave rational at the door with these hometown hero types.

Granger for Hayward/Memo & no picks would be laughable...
Any package for Granger would have to include Hayward, their Hometown Hero!!

yeah, but Hayward just turned 21. Granger is like almost 28. Hayward might be the type of player who enjoys playing in Utah. Would Granger bolt as soon as his contract is up?

Yeah, Indy wouldn't do it. One of the picks would have to be involved. But our leverage would be we're not one player away from title contention, we don't have to do the deal, and they could take Memo/Hayward/12 or we'll just stay our merry course. I like Hayward a lot, but Memo/Hayward and the 12 you have to do. Let Indy get the moon for Granger somewhere else.

One of the main reasons you want Granger is because he's a great player already signed to a fantastic deal. 12/13/14 for the next 3 years.
